This rope handles very well, is supple and easy to feed through a belay device. I've used it for a couple of seasons and it is holding up well.

Great quality, pretty colors. Pretty quick on rappell!

Wanted an 80 for a specific objective, so got this one on sale. I've sadly made fewer attempts on that objective than I'd like, but this rope has come on a few sport climbing trips with me. Seems good so far. A little stiff out of the box, but I'm sure it will get more supple with use, and hopefully that means it will last a good while? I only use for single pitch sport climbing and toproping. Prefer a bi-color (and shorter/lighter) rope for multipitch.

This is not a special rope in any sense and that makes it perfect. This thing is also a bit of a tank on all my sport missions. I have put it on about 100-150 days of use, with a mix of light duty multi pitch and fairly heavy projecting both indoor and outdoor. Lots of roping up, hanging, and whipping. I weigh around 140-145bs and have taken whips some 30ft whips on it. It has also been washed maybe four or five times. With all the moderate use its been put though I am happy to report that there are no soft spots what so ever. After the first few uses it softens up quite nicely especially if you are responsible and let the rope relax after taking a whip, unlike me. The only signs of wear are extreme amount of twists and the fact that its not very smooth anymore. So despite being more difficult to use now, it is still fully functioning. Overall solid rope from Mammut. Note: I use doctor Bonners baby/unscented to wash my rope. My first wash was with woolite however I believe the BD found it to be slightly acidic so I changed to the DBs. I don't think it affected the ropes health just something to note.

I really like Mammut ropes. Smooth through the belay device. Hold up well. Soft catch. I haven't used a ton of ropes but Mammut ropes are my personal favorite for the price. I have a buddy that climbs a lot both sport and trad and all over the west. He has climbed on nearly every brand and Mammut ropes are his favorite.
