Great Size But Still Compsct
I bought this a month ago and have used it 4 or 5 times to practice with it. It’s been great the pans don’t burn, the silicone handles work great too. No need for oven mits. I’ve used the pans in a gas stove and they even work on my induction burner! I showed them to my camping buddy and told him how they worked so well on the induction burner. I bought the larger set and he purchased the smaller set. Very pleased with this product!

The Perfect Cook Kit!
Love this cook set - it’s great for our “larger” groups (9). We’ve been using these for a few years, and we knew we wanted to get the same set to replace the ones we lost last summer when our camp van blew up! Light weight, strong, versatile, easy to clean, and enough cooking gear to feed a whole group in the backcountry! Fairly indestructible, too - our old ones had been through a lot - it took a 30 foot ball of fire to take it out of commission.

Thin Material, Scorches Food
I was super excited to cook with my new GSI Glacier Base Camper (large) cook set but I was terribly disappointed. The very thin material scorches easily and you’ll be left with burn marks on the bottom of the pot/pan which is impossible to get out. The pots/pans heats quickly but doesn’t retain heat. I would strongly not recommend buying this.

Camping Cookware
I bought this for my son-in-law who likes to camp with his family. He loves the weight of this equipment and its easy clean up. This product was recommended to me by a young man who does quite a bit of camping and he said I would not be disappointed.

Great Pan And Lids; Concerned About Pots
Overall I am happy with this purchase. However, I have some constructive criticism. First the lid design is great and performs flawlessly. The “hot pad” tabs are held into the lid by a rubber plug. The plug is very shallow. I’m concerned about it holding up over time. (It is nice that it’s removable for cleaning.) The large lid fits over the frypan. It doesn’t seal tight but it works just fine firming up scrambled eggs. I am very happy with the lids and fry pan. The pots themselves are very thin. The bottom of mine pop back and forth. One of the pots remains rigid, the other is flimsy like an opened pickle jar lid. So since they snap in and out, there is no flat surface if you are cooking say onions in olive oil before you add a chicken breast and a bit of water and veggies. The oil pools to the outside or settles in the middle. (I don’t recommend doing this with a pocket rocket, burns crazy fast—and yes I had it as low as it’d go.) I called GSI about this. They told me this isn’t normal. I believe them. I have a lot of their products. I was assured it won’t impact their useful life. All in all these pots are good for what I use them for: canoe and car camping. I’d give them 4.5 stars if not for the pot popping in and out. (I may revise this review based on whether or not GSI replaces these pots as it’s “not normal”. They’re behind because of COVID and that’s okay.)
