I’m loving my new Gator Jr.! It’s super easy to grip and the weight is even. It works great cutting through overgrown bushes. I haven’t noticed any rust or anything. Would recommend.

As you can see in the video this item does its job. It is very sharp and cuts quickly. I would recommend this to hikers and anyone who may come across something that needs to be cleared.

I’m really happy with the Gerber Gator Machete Jr. overall. It’s been great for all my outdoor adventures, from hiking and camping to even using it around the house for pruning palm tree boots. It’s lightweight, easy to handle and has a solid grip that feels secure even after extended use. The machete also seems really well built and durable. One feature I really appreciate is the included nylon sheath. It makes it super convenient and safe to carry on my belt or toss in the truck without worrying about the blade damaging other gear or equipment. The saw side works surprisingly well too, I was able to cut through branches, a few inches thick with no problem at all. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because the machete blade could definitely be sharper right out of the box. I’m planning to put a better edge on it myself, and I think once sharpened it’ll perform even better. Overall, it’s a versatile and dependable tool that I’d still highly recommend.

My husband loved this machete! He takes it on camp trips with him and uses it to hack at the brush behind our shed after he’s off work! He said the handle is very comfortable and it’s durable so he hasn’t needed to sharpen it yet, even after regular use for a month.

Another great product from Gerber! This machete cuts great right out of the packaging. The teeth for the saw did a great job handling the branches I was cutting. The protective case is durable and easy to use.

This Gerber machete works great for bush wacking while hiking or camping. It's very sturdy and is the perfect length to still be highly portable. It has a strong grip that makes you feel confident that it will cut through the brush every time. Fun to use.

When first looking at this I was thinking this thing won't last a day, but to my surprise it was very well made. I really like that you can hook the sheath up to your belt for easy carrying. Both the blade and saw are very sharp so handle with care. The handle fits my hand perfectly for a comfortable grip. You can chop small trees and branches with the blade side or for something a little more stubborn you can use the saw side both worked really well. I used it to trim up my Palm trees and some overgrowth on my fence. Still have a way to go but this Gerber Machete Jr worked great.

It’s so convenient to have a sewing tool and a chopping tool all in one. It also comes with a sheet that you can attach to your belt loop. It was not heavy at all when using, and had a safety feature for my wrist of my hand, wouldn’t slide forward. I was hoping that it would saw and chop more easily, as I had to put a lot of work into it. It was not as sharp as I thought it would be.

This Gerber Gear Machete is super solid. Very light weight, also a perfect size for a machete. Super easy to use and is super effective. The case it comes with is very handy as well. Worked perfectly for cutting some branches off the trees! Would 100% recommend if you need one.

Absolutely love this thing! I’ve taken it on camping trips twice now and it makes things super easy to cut down for firewood! The blade is super sharp and cuts well, and it seems really durable for its small size! Holds up well with little maintenance!

This machete is of very high quality; its size is perfect, and the packaging it comes protected in is equally excellent. The sheath used to store the machete is very sturdy and capable of preventing accidents, so after use, you simply store it back in its sheath. I used it to chop dry firewood and tree roots, and this machete got the job done. I truly recommend it, as it is of excellent quality and very durable.

Cuts with absolute ease. Better than my current machete. The saw side cuts very well into wood and the regular side is great for cutting down vines and greenery. Super durable and lightweight.
