I go through A LOT of backpacks trying to find the right one. I have 4 other cotopaxis as well as so many others. This is by bad my favorite! I love a briefcase zip and it’s super comfortable and light. The only downside is that there’s no water bottle holder, but my water bottle fits perfect in the front pocket.
I use it daily for work (I own a dance studio) and it’s my go-to travel backpack.

Compact And Perfect
I traveled with a budget airline and the personal item requirements were super strict. This backpack is just the perfect size and it fits under the seat in front of me without any problems. It's a plus that you can hide the straps as well so people won't accidentally step on them in the aircraft.

Love It’s Uniqueness
Perfect for small framed individuals. Love the unique clamshell opening and outside pockets. There are a few things I would change, but I like this version better than the updated version and was glad to order while on sale. It serves a much different purpose - more of a travel pack as opposed to the newer pack that is more of a school book bag style. Love that they are one of a kind!

Love The Design And Colours
Vibrant and new design is stunishing. The zipper opening on the side is super interesting, I am still trying to get a hold of using it in a way that my stuff don't fall out. There is a small zipper inside the big zip that should have opened towards up, not down, it is currently going down which is strange when the backpack is in sitting position, everything falls down from that zipper. Also, I live in Sweden, and I have concern for rainy days! Let's see once I get there.

5+ Stars! Highly Recommend The Tasra 16l - Del Día!!
This backpack is well-made and extremely durable! It is the perfect hiking backpack or day-trip pack because it is not too big, but it fits a surprising amount of items too! This pack works well on planes as a personal item or carry-on. And I love its fun colors and that no backpack is the same. There's nothing better than supporting a sustainable business with values that align with mine.

Great For Child With Special Needs
I bought two of these for my daughter’s (1yo and 4yo) to act as their diaper bags and to hold their medical information and medications. I love all the pockets and places to hold things. Both girls are medically complex and need special information and medications with them at all times, this backpack is perfect for my needs. The straps also disconnect with snaps so putting it on the back of a stroller or wheelchair is a breeze. The only thing that would have made this even better would have been a place for cold storage.

Great Backpack For Travel
Took this backpack for a trip to Taiwan from Maryland. At first it took a little to get used to the clamshell opening, but you can still just open it up from the top like a regular backpack. But to take the laptop out at TSA, you had to open it up completely (clamshell) and then the rest of the stuff in the bag came out. (I have TSA pre-check, but not coming in from Taiwan to the U.S.)
What I really liked: The exterior top pocket with an interior netted pocket, the exterior bottom pocket, which was quite roomy and great for a small book and my snacks. I also liked the additional interior zippered pockets inside the main compartment. One was large enough to organize some clothes (good for about 2-3 nights, depending on how lite you can travel or how large your clothes are).
Also liked that the backpack straps are storable, so you can just carry the bag like a briefcase, making the clamshell work the way it should.
What could be improved: The slots for pens are sideways (clamshell), so the pens often fell out thus making those slots a little useless. Perhaps using an elastic pen holder would work better?
I got the del dia, which is made with remnant fabrics, but would have appreciated if they used some remnant breathable fabric for the back.
Would be great if there were a pocket made for a water bottle, or an easy place to attach a water bottle holder. Maybe there is, but it didn't jump out at me.
On a score of 1-5 with zippers, I'd say these were about a 4. They are YKK and have great pull tabs, but sometimes it took a little bit to get it zipped up or unzipped. So the zipping mechanism wasn't as smooth as it could be.
Overall, great backpack to travel with. It's very light when empty, plenty of organizational pockets, and seems to carry quite a bit, and still easily fit under the airplane seat.
I also like the bright colors, though the color I got differed from the website a bit. The orange in the top pocket looked more peach on the website but turned out high-viz orange in person, but that's OK. It's nice to have a completely unique item.
