The Most Comfortable Chacos Ever

I bought these sandals in the past week. I have narrow, flat feet. These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I have worn Chaco sandals for about 20 years; however the new "Rapid Pro Z1 Classic sandal" is in a class by itself. My new sandals fit perfectly and provide wonderful arch support. They are also a little longer than my previous Chaco sandals; I moved up to a size 8, when I used to wear Chacos in size 7.

Can’t Get Enough Of These

I go hiking in my chacos all the time so the fact that they have vibram soles is a selling point on its own. The adjustable straps are great so they can fit any foot. The straps can get a little tighter/looser on your foot as you wear them, I think the straps just slip around a little.

Not A Good Fit

I have particular feet. These did not work for me. I tried them based on my daughter's recommendation, but my feet were not happy with the insoles. A good quality sandal, just not for me.

Very High Arches

Seems like a good shoe, but I can't wear it because the arches are so high that when I stand in them, the balls of my feet don't even touch the sole: I'm just standing on my arches. I didn't think I had low arches before, but these definitely don't work so I'll sadly be sending them back.

New Sole Grips Great On Slimy River Rocks

The new sole is fantastic! I am in the South Fork of the American River almost every day and the sole grips significantly better than the others. I am hoping that this sole can be re-soled like the other. I gave that new sandal 4 stars because I am not wild about the new "lighter" webbing. I am having trouble with the sandal strap slipping dangerously loose when I swim in the river current. It does not stay tight like my other Z/2 (I have 3 other pairs...). I am hoping that this issues resolves as the sandals break in, but I have had a couple of swims when I felt the need to grip tightly with my toes to keep the sandal on.

Expect Blisters

I do not love my chacos near as much as I love my Tevas. The straps are difficult to adjust to find a comfortable fit. I got several blisters after the first time wearing them. They don’t allow you to return them either. I think they can be useful in the water because of the tight fit but I prefer my shoes to be useful in and out of the water.
