Disappointing Changes.
Looking to replace seven year old Detroit made in USA jacket. New one is made in India, no waist snaps/adjustments, color is off, fit is different and stitching doesn't appear to be as high quality. Disappointing that this item has been outsourced and quality appears to have degraded.

Tough As Nails And Comfortable All In One.
I've had one of these for years, the first generation ones that is, the tough ones. Now that my son is old enough to start wearing adult size clothes, he asked for a Carhartt jacket. Of course I wear it everyday, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, you name it. I knew which one it was and you can't tear this stuff up, tough as nails and comfortable at the same time. You can't beat it. I figure a few months and I'll be buying another one since he's growing like weed.

Title Review
needs several washings to become easy to wear - extremely stiff out of the package - zipper is difficult to engage - pockets are comfortable

The Perfect Jacket
I was given this jacket in black for Christmas last year and loved it so I bought myself the brown one this year. I'm 6'5" 240 lbs and the XL Tall fits me perfectly. It sits on my waist and I like that the sleeves cover my wrists and a bit over my hands. Easy to style, durable, the more you wear it the less stiff it becomes which I like, and it's warm enough that you don't need multiple layers underneath. I'll definitely keep these in my closet as long as they last me. I previously owned an older Detroit jacket I found at a thrift store and that one did not have the flap on the lower back, which I know some people don't like, but on this new version I don't mind it, it keeps you covered when you have to move around and bend down to move things. This coat is definitely worth the investment.

103828 Style
The J01 & J001 BLK style is surely missed, wish you guys would go back to this style. I am a short person, with this NEW style the length of the sleeves are WAY too long, the tail length I do not like, I liked the cuffs of the J001 not this one, I worn the same style Carhartt jackets for over 40 years, I am now in the market for a different brand. Why are mfg's now days trying to reinvent the wheel when a product is good they mess it up.
