Rugged Vest

Very warm vest. The exterior feels rugged but time will tell. The interior lining is soft and not plastic feeling like one of my Carhartt jackets is. It does have some weight to it and I would like an exterior chest pocket but those are my main complaints. Maybe some buttons in case the zipper fails at some point would be nice.

Baggy

The sizing with carhartt is changing every year. Not sure why everything is so baggy compared to what it used to be. The medium size is similar to a large now.

Nice Jacket and fit is roomy - The way the collar fits to my neck doesnt exactly suit me.

Great Looking Vest, But

I have an old Carhartt vest with a label that says "VO2 MDT." It has served me extremely well and was obviously the forerunner of their current "Iconic" vest (VO1). Needed another vest and I like western styling so I ordered the Montana. It looked great but I would have liked it better if a little shorter - that would make it easier to put hands in pants pockets. It didn't seem as warm as the VO2 and the zipper was harder to start, I think because of the way the wind flap is configured. Also, something mystifying is the stiff backing inside the collar - but no big deal and maybe there's a reason. In the end I really liked the looks of the Montana vest but decided to return it and order an Iconic vest instead.

Amazing Western Work Vest

Great vest, has lasted me a year so far and has not broken in any way. I weld and angle grind a lot and this vest doesn't mind the sparks at all. On top of being durable it also looks much cooler with the western yokes on it than the regular Carhartt vest.
