Not For Me

Good shoes, just won’t work for me. I have a lot of foot problems(sensory neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis). Unfortunately, after wearing these indoors for a few weeks with my orthotics, with this particular model I had bad ankle cramps by the end of the day. So far, the best for me have been the Ghost Max 3. They work great for walking outdoors, however, I’ve been trying to find a shoe where I feel more stable going up and down the stairs and for wearing on the hard floor indoors.

Awesome Shoes

These Ghosts are so comfortable for walking. The toe box is a little roomy but it doesn’t affect how the shoes feel when I wear them. I have tried other tennis shoe brands but none of them compare to the comfort of the Brooks Ghost.

Perfect Straight From The Box

Just like my Ghosts of two years ago, threw these on and walked 10 miles right away with no discomfort. Great straight out of the box. Btw: I’m a Women’s 10 in every shoe I own except these. Needed 10.5 with both of my Brooks Ghosts.

Still A Fan!

I've been a Ghost buyer for several years and was relieved that this new release still works for my high arches and wide forefoot. The cushioning is slightly more that the 17, but not as much as the Ghost Max, which I find uncomfortable. I do wish that the cute colors were offered in the wide sizes as well, but other than that, this one is a winner for me.

Love The Forefoot Cushioning

I love the better cushioning in the forefoot and I'm glad the tongue is longer. The heel locks in and the overall fit is great. However, the tongue is not very cushioned. I also noticed that the side of the shoe around the ankle is no longer cushioned. It doesn't bother me when I run, but somehow this shoe isn't as comfortable out of the box as ones in the past. I also wish that instead of a 10 mm midsole drop that it was 6 or 8. I feel like the heel is too high and I notice that when wearing this shoe my knee hurts compared to other shoes of different brands with a lower drop. Now my favorite shoe is the Ghost Trail.

The shies are comfortable but the soles seem noticeably thicker. This is not helpful for stability.

Long Time Ghost Runner Gives Thumbs Up.

I have been a long time Ghost runner with some particular faves. In general, I like the odd-number Ghosts the best and my recent favorites were the Ghost 15s! I also liked the 17s but found them to be a bit narrower in the toe box (bad) but pretty cushiony (good). I have about 60 miles in the 18s and so far so good! The toe box seems roomier, they seem less cushiony and more responsive than the 17s. I feel like I run a little bit faster in them - Could these be my new favorites?
