Traded For The Mens Version ~ Still Love It

I bought this to replace a beloved 20+ year old mens beta ar. I exchanged the womens for the mens, it just fits better on me as I am short waisted. I am looking forward to another 20+ years of a great multi purpose jacket. I love the AR and so happy the jacket is still available

Not What I Thought It Was. Shirts Too Big

Not what I thought it was. It is too loud and doesn't cover me well.

Happy

Nice color, appears to be pretty durable and sits nicely! Will be using a lot during this ski season and hiking!

Revised Version Is Awful.

Awful. The new revised version is terrible. The collar is SO stiff and cumbersome, especially if you have a hoodie on underneath. Be prepared to feel like you’re wearing a neck brace. The fit has also changed, my previous version of the beta ar was perfect, this one pulls on the shoulders and the sleeves are shorter. Very uncomfortable overall which is shocking for a shell. Will absolutely be returning. Bring back to older version.

Versatile Shell

The length (torso and pit zips) is great and the zip up area around the neck is very well thought out. I would wear a small in a freeride normal freeride jacket and sized up to M for layering. So far the jacket has held up well to cold wind, seems like the perfect versatile shell.

Excellent Communication

Excellent service and communication. I have not tried the coat in wet weather yet…It is -20° F in Alaska… ski time! Thanks for great work and follow through. Mary

Keeps You Dry

Excellent in keeping me dry in deluge downpour! Would recommend. I have a small size and seams to be slightly large.

From Icy Climbs To Rainy Runs

This jacket has become a staple part of my late winter thru spring closet. From an ice climbing shell to a rainy run to an extra waterproof layer over my cerium on a shifty weather day it really does it all. I feel like the cut this year has a little more room around the hips which has helped a lot with layering so I don't feel stuffed inside it and I have a bit more room at the bottom line of my bust so when I layer I don't all of a sudden feel like the jacket is straining over my chest and restricting my movement. Would like a touch more room in the top of the bust though because when I put my hands behind my back you can see a faint tug. Also the pocket to zipper ratio has been perfect, My phone, transit card, wrapper, raffle ticket, and all the tiny things that fall out of pockets all the time, have not in this shell.

Breathable Waterproofing, Windproof, All-season!

The Beta AR is technical, breathable waterproofing, windproof, all-season technical shell jacket and continues to earn the top spot in my closet as a primary go-to shell I use more than any other jacket year-around in low and high exercise activities outdoors, travel, or casual wear use. Over 15 years, I have owned multiple Beta AR jackets in different colors and on average it lasts over 7 years before replacing with no seam, zipper, or waterproofing issues. The jacket has traveled with me on many adventures around the world. The Beta AR is lightweight, packable, and is exceptional for layering underneath or as a stand alone shell. I am 5’1” and the size small is perfect for a slightly oversized fit for layering. Highly recommend!

Great Jacket For Everything Outdoors

I honestly love all the Beta jackets from Arcteryx, with this one not being the exception. Highly recommend it for anything outdoors in any weather.

Not So Good This Time

Sent this back, it was too big, but I think it may not have been right even in the correct size. The cut was a bit funny, and the fabric very rustly and shiny. Shame, I’ve loved my last two Arc’teryx jackets. The colour was good though!

Near Perfect!

Love the fit, color, and quality. Wish there were attachments at the cuffs to hold a liner jack but otherwise is perfect!

Techy Techy!

I love!! my Beta AR. I got the original AR last year in Sapphire and it is my go to rain and truly all weather jacket. I find it most useful on rainy chilly Fall/Winter hikes. The Goretex keeps me dry and the multiple use pockets + synch features make the jacket ideally technical snug and supportive. It feels almost too technical for everyday use but I get good use out of it on terrain when in the mountains or at the crag. One of my favorites!

Great For Snowboarding, Trendy And High Quality!

I purchased this jacket in the Orca colorway last winter (white with black logo) and wore it snowboarding and snowshoeing. I really loved the color and the fit. It was roomier than the previous Beta jacket from 2019 that I had but still cut nice. The pit zips were super nice to have to cool down. Wind and water resistant even in a heavy snowfall I stayed warm and dry. I like the inner pocket for holding my electronic ski pass. My only complaint is that the white stains easily (which I should have known). I assumed it would wash out with ease but once you get a black mark on it from rubbing on something it doesn't come out, even with proper care instructions and the Arc'teryx Gortex wash. I docked one star for that.

New Green Color Beta Ar

Like the jacket - the green color is a tad “off”. It’s a Kelly green, which some might love, but a bit too yellow/grey for my taste. I traded for black. Too bad there aren’t better colors.
