Nice Kayak Carrier
We've been happy with this rack so far - this is actually the second JayLow we've purchased. Not because the first wore out, but because we wanted a second set. They're easy to put on the factory crossbars of our 2018 Outback, and easy to fold down. Despite the fold down, we tend not to keep them on the vehicle because the lock cores are a separate purchase. All in all, we're quite pleased and have had no problems with them.

Easy Install. High Quality.
There are cheaper options online for other J-shaped kayak carries, but I doubt they hold up o Yakima's quality. These were extremely easy to install (onto a set of Yakima crossbars) and once installed were very secure. Loading a kayak (can hold two) was easy and the included tiedown straps made it so the kayak was going nowhere. It's very likely that we will buy a second set of JawLows when we expand to two more kayaks.

I liked this rack so much than when I broke a set (by driving into my garage with them accidentally up) I immediately bought another set. They are really easy to install, easy to load, and I like that they fold down so you can keep them on and drive into an out of a garage without taking them off the car (just make sure to not be like me and forget to fold them down!)

Flexible Kayak Transportation, Little Noisy
I bought these a year ago to help transport our sea kayaks around. These have done a great job so far at transporting the kayaks securely, even on a 4+ hour road trip on round roof rack bars. The included tie downs are quality and I haven't had any issues with them loosening up. I have had minor issues with the locking mechanism controlling the cradle position moving between positions and had to return that set, but the replacements worked flawlessly so I think it may have just been an outlier. While these do fold flat, don't expect them to be quiet on the roof as one of the holes on the underside of the cradle whistles in the wind.
