I wanted to try the 6” nylon ankle ice boots because I love the 6” deck boots I wear almost daily. They are very comfortable once on, have great support, good traction and are very warm! The only complaint I have, is that the top opening is not as wide as the regular deck boots, which makes them harder to just slip on and go. I had noticed that in the few reviews I had read, but wanted to try them anyway. A long handled shoehorn is needed, for me at least. Perhaps the designers thought a narrower opening would make them warmer, but it doesn’t allow for thicker socks. I kept them but probably won’t buy another pair in the future unless the opening is redesigned.
