This is my fourth pair in 12 years. No break in necessary. Fit perfect every time. 8 to 10 hrs a day at work then back country hiking and hunting. I have used these boots on long hunting trips in to the high country for elk in snow and rain. Water proof worked way of above exspectation!

I hike 5-7 miles a day. This boot has been my only one for well over 20 years, and I'm on my 10th pair. It needs no break-in, and is a joy to wear. Every few years I treat myself to a new pair for the tremendous extra support it provides.

The Plans Are To Try Again

I use these boots for walking our county roads and hiking nearby trails. This is my first pair of Maddsen after several pairs of White Ledge. I got tired of the toe separation on each pair of my White Ledge, which allows moisture to enter the toe box. In defense of the shoe, I usually have a couple hundred miles on them on some difficult trails. Thought I would give Maddsen a try. The stitching gave way after two or three months. Maybe a hundred miles or so. The plus is the company was very prompt is approving a replacement pair of boots.

Cheaply Made, Wore Out Quickly

Cracked on a seam after 14 months of use, no warranty and no advice on repair from "customer service". No longer the quality footwear they used to be.
