About This Item

A solid and durable construction, the Thule® Trailway XT Hitch Mount 2-Bike Rack transports your bikes safely to the trails or course. This car rack fits both 1 ¼” and 2” receivers with the included adaptor. Fit up to 2 bikes in the anti-sway cages for secured protection and travel. When you’re not biking, the switch levers allow the arms to fold down and tilt the carrier away from the car.

Fantastic Rack - I Love It!

Use this rack for my carbon fiber bicycle on a small Ford Ranger with a 2” square hitch. Super easy installation and was ready to transport bikes within an hour. The anti-sway strap works really well. The rack is very secure and the folding mechanisms are very positively actuated and feel secure.

No Antisway! Junk Straps!

I had the original Trailway with rubber straps and antisway. It worked great but it got stolen. I bought this model and it doesnt include the anti sway brackets even though the Apex has the same cradles and that one has the anti sway bracket. The new zip tie style straps are also hard to us an require two hands. Good luck if ice or mud builds up on the mechanism

The Thule Trailway XT Hitch Mount 2-Bike Rack was easy to assemble, but strap installation and use was not straightforward and as easy to use as I expected it to be. It was difficult to release and adjust the straps. Although the straps were tightly bound, the bike was not stable while driving and continuously sled up the carrier arms. I have used other Thule models with different types of straps that were more secure. I returned

Perfect Low Profile Well Designed Bike Rack

Bought this last month so my husband and I could take our bikes around to different trails in Maine. The rack is easy to use and easy to put on and off my SUV. No fuss and low profile if you want to leave it on your vehicle for an extended time. Super easy to fold it down to open hatch.

Not Worth The Value

I Purchased a Thule Trailway XT hitch mount two bike rack. (Made just for Dicks) Got it on the car fine. However, the brackets that hold the bike onto the rack are too close to each other. I could not get two bikes on this rack no matter what I did. Also, there is no part to Stabilize the bike on the rack. (anti sway carriage). The design made it hard to keep the bike balanced on the rack while I attached it. There are no locking features. I ended up returning it. went with a different company that has wider spacing between each set of brackets, and has the anti-sway carriage.
