Mr. Ken
I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with the Thule Tepui 3 Roof Tent after three years of ownership. I’ve only used it five times, and it’s honestly falling apart. This product has been a huge letdown, especially considering the price and reputation Thule has built over the years. Build Quality: The sides of the tent are delaminating after minimal use, which is incredibly frustrating. This shouldn't be happening after just three years—let alone after only five trips. The material quality is clearly not up to par, and the fact that it's coming apart like this is a major red flag. Zippers: The zippers are another issue. All of them are failing, and some are already completely unusable. A roof tent is supposed to keep you safe and secure, and a zipper that doesn’t work is an obvious flaw. At this point, I can’t trust it to keep anything secure inside. Cover Design Flaw: One of the most frustrating parts of this tent is the cover. The strap that secures it when you’re driving wears through the fabric of the cover, which results in a hole over time. I had to replace the cover after just a year because of this stupid design flaw. The strap just rubs against the material constantly when you're on the road, and there’s no way to prevent it from happening. It’s a terrible oversight in the design, and Thule has done nothing to address it. Conclusion: I expected a lot more from Thule, and I’m extremely disappointed in the Tepui 2. I’ve owned it for only three years, and it’s already falling apart with minimal use. The delamination, failing zippers, and poorly designed cover are all issues that make this tent feel like a poor investment. At this point, I can’t recommend this product to anyone, especially given the cost. If you’re looking for a roof tent, I would strongly suggest exploring other options.

Purchased this tent for the truck bed of a Rivian R1T and it had been working out well. The tent takes a little effort to get on the truck bed - not the lightest one out there. But it works well And set up and tear down of the tent is a breeze. I stallation (1st time) took about 2 hours from in packing to putting it on the rack. Comfort is great and have a good night's sleep in it.

Not sure yet. It’s a gift for my son who is in Kuwait in the Army, coming home in 2 weeks to celebrate Xmas !

I bought this at the beginning of the pandemic and we haven't stopped using it since! The kids and I have been on several roadtrips and the roof top tent has never disappointed. The mattress seems thin when you look at it but we found that is very comfortable. It fits three people comfortably and keeps you warm. We have a great rain fly that keeps the tent nice and dry that also works for keeping the tent cool. The setup is fast and easy; easy enough that my teen can setup and takedown by herself! As a family of 4 we often camp with a small ground tent and the rooftop tent. It's the perfect setup for us. Being on top of the car, you can camp in RV sites(closer to the bathroom).

This is our first Roof Top Tent and we have been blown away by the Kukenam. The tent is very comfortable and fairly easy to put up and down. The installation was okay overall, I found the instructions decent. When I ran into issues I opened a support ticket with Thule and they stood behind the product. Support was fairly quick, understood my issue, and quickly resolved it by sending me the needed part. Solid 5 out of 5 stars for this tent and Thule for standing behind their products with good support.

We got the Thule Tepui Explorer tent this summer to explore New England with our 1-year-old puppy more often and could not recommend it enough! It was super easy to install and is faster to set up than a regular tent. On our first night trying it out in Acadia, there was a big rainstorm that came through and we stayed warm and dry in the tent the whole night. The mattress is comfy and roomy, too - it made a great first travel bed for our dog, who didn't want to leave in the morning!

I have been on the lookout for a rooftop tent for the last 6 months. I was convinced that I needs a hardshell.. but thankfully I came across this tent and decided to do it. Between the incredible price point and a trusted brand I went for it, and I'm so happy I did! It's exactly what I was hoping for and more. You can't beat the price for what you get. The only downsize I have found is the ladder tends to dent a little when it's all folded up. I'm thinking I can remedy this by putting in rubber strips. Overall it's a great tent and worth it!

It’s a fast setup time in comparison to similar styled tents I’ve tried. The construction is great and it endures the elements really well. I’ve camped in the rain and it’s kept me dry. If you’re stuck between this and the 2 person variation, I would say spend that extra amount of money to get more space, you won’t regret it. I don’t have any complaints when it comes to the construction or ease of use but I will say that the mattress is okay at best. That’s very common on any roof top tent brand. I upgraded to a HEST memory foam mattress and now it's SO comfortable and spacious. Overall it’s a great roof top tent in its category and I would recommend it for people with Mid sized SUV’s, Sedans, etc. Eventually I would love to try Thule’s wedge styled roof top tent when I upgrade to a bigger vehicle.

Easy to assemble, strong against harsh weather, super cool and super easy on a daily basis.

I've taken this tent out a couple of times into the Colorado wilderness and it's been great so far. The setup was straight forward if you follow the instructions. All of the parts needed came in the box. It fit on the roof of my Jeep perfectly and didn't block trunk access. Opening the tent up and getting it camp ready only took a few minutes. My only gripe is that the description says year round, and the mattress that comes with the tent is uncomfortable. We camped in the mountains where the temperatures reached the mid 20's at night and it was very cold if not for the proper sleeping bag and a heat source. Non-freezing nights are very comfortable with an additional mattress pad.

As someone who camps solo, having a rooftop tent that is easy to set up without assistance was important to me! It’s so easy to set up and take down, and only takes 5-10 minutes for each!

Purchased this a couple months back. Has performed awesome!! I have a 22 Subaru forester wilderness and it is such a great accommodation for camping. Assembly was easy, everything is well thought out by Thule. Mattress is a little firm but I like that. Took 2-3 mpg off but not bad at all. Love the versatility and ease of set up/tear down. Couldn’t be happier with this thing. I purchased the single shoe bag to go with this and it was well worth it. Ready to camp any day/anytime/any where. Even did great through a wicked rain storm! You will not be disappointed with this set up.

I took it out for a trial run and was very pleased!!! I was concerned about opening and closing by myself and it turned out to very easy. I have it on a lifted Tacoma bed so the reach was tough .. With a small step ladder, it will be a breeze. Great venting, Zippers were all strong and easy .. So far so good. I'm heading out for a 2 week trip next week.. That will be the ultimate test. Love it!

This tent is great for those who want to be off the ground and have an easy set up. Out of the box you simply mount the rails and the ladder. We had it on the back of our R1T pretty quickly. The mattress that comes with it is really comfortable as well.

Love the tent , but the mattress us terrible. I am a side sleeper and it is one of the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. And looks like they aren't selling the upgraded mattress for the 3 person any longer ge
