Thankfully I read the prior review about this fitting larger. I am usually a size 10 but there was only a size 6 left, praying it would fit, and it did! Tummy was a bit tight but not too bad. I prefer this fit as the legs are more fitted to my thigh. Amazing quality and make. As always, North Face quality blows me away. Love the blue as well. Reminds me of a denim look. I also thought it would be too short but its perfect and I don't think it will ride up.

I like them except they are a little too high waisted for my liking

I love the shorts, except they run small. I had to exchange twice to get the right size, and they're a couple inches too short to be useful. I love the pockets, but when you put something in them, they hang lower than the shorts.

Great hiking or every day shorts! Fit well. Would my more colors of available. The waistband that tightens is very nice but occasionally loosens and needs to be re tightened. Comfortable. No weird chaffing. 5'8" 135# size small

The sizing is inaccurate. These shorts are literally everything I've wanted & could never find in a hiking short. quick dry material. Stretchy, form fitted, the legs didn't pull or roll when moving. Feels amazing on. Structured fit & look but the material is incredibly soft, light & breathable. Fitted waist w give, a zipper & snap closure. Zippered pockets actually function as such & are large enough to actually secure things in w/o noticing too much bc of the stretch + extra cargo pocket that's more than just decorative. They look good, feel good, are long enough to hike/climb in & short enough to fit my stature (5'3), w/o the typical hiking shorts features like being pull on, too long, baggy or ridiculously low waisted (might work for some but not those w curves & an hourglass figure). The higher waist + slim fitted style are made for my body type, I've NEVER found shorts I could hike in, that also felt & looked good. The flaw is in the sizing. I followed the size chart - Size 0 = 25-26" w & 34-35" h. This is inaccurate, they measured 28" @ the waist, see image. I'm swimming in these @ the waist, they're just too big. My waist just felt too bunched when tightened w the belt. That also caused them to ride up when walking. The hips & thighs fit ok but the next size down would be better in those areas too. I really wish the chart was accurate. Sadly, back they go.

These shorts were great for hiking! They do tend to ride up a bit but that might be because I'm in between sizes and chose to size up so it wouldn't be too tight.

Perfect length!

Love these shorts - super comfy and a flattering cut. Perfect for hot days!

I haven't worn them out yet but looks and fits perfectly especially if you are high waisted.

I love the material! It is a little thin, but it's stretchy and surprisingly rip resistant. I have worn these rafting and hiking/scrambling over rocks. I've scooted on my butt down some pretty steep declines and these shorts didn't have a scratch on them afterwards. I also love the deep pockets and the lovely yellow color!

I loved the color but the material wasn't as opaque as I am comfortable with - I ended up returning them.

The material is great! I'm short so these were too high waisted on me so I returned.

The belt is very strange-looking and non-functional compared to the Paramount shorts I purchased last year (in all colors.) The cut of the shorts is also unattractive being too high in the waist (since I am petite,) and the material is much thinner vs. the Paramount shorts. I returned.
