I bought the emergency blanket to use as a ground sheet under my tarp as well as, well, it's intended purpose. It works great as a ground sheet and no doubt works well as an e blanket. It has developed a couple pin sized holes but still holding up better than polycro.

I live in Wisconsin, so I got this to keep in my car. My biggest fear is getting stuck somewhere is below freezing temps and running out of gas in my car!

This is one of those items that you hope to never need, but could save your life if you do. We had added it to our survival/first aid kit that I keep in my car and put in my backpack when hiking. A few weeks ago we were hiking in the snow and my husband slipped on an icy trail and twisted his knee. I couldn't get him back to our car alone on an icy trail, so I pulled this out to wrap around him while I went for help. This blanket kept him pretty warm in 25 degree weather while he waited about 15 minutes for me to return. I appreciated that it was bright orange, so he was very easy to spot. This is waterproof so he was able to sit on it and keep the snow from getting him too wet. I didn't expect that I would need to use it so quickly, but am so thankful that I had this. I recommend this for anyone who lives in a colder climate. You never know when you might need it.

In the snowy, cold ohio weather a emergency blanket is a must have in you truck. This one by SOL is made good and it is multifonctionnel too. If you get stuck on the side of the road with the snow it keep's you nice and warm and you can also use it as a shelter if you had to and keep the rain off of you or use it in your first aid kit incase you need it to put over some one. It's 90% Heat Reflective, windproof and waterproof and it's really durable..

This is an awesome compact little blanket. It’s shrink wrapped down into a tiny box. This blanket is great for the car, great for camping or any other situations that emergency situations arise. This is intended to keep you warm and hopefully survive until help can get to you. Definitely good to have just in case. The outer portion looks like foil so it must be a thermal blanket
