I have skied over 45 years, and have never worn a helmet. We live 20 minutes from the resort base, I researched helmets and am amazed at how I immediately adapted to it. No more cold earlobes where my buff and hat used to slip around. The boa adjustment really cradles your head. I ski with headphones and the removable ear pads let me to keep my tune system intact— but didn’t change the warmth factor. The vents are easy to reach and easily adjusted. The suggested measurements on this model were spot on—would have paid more and converted sooner had I known — just fits great and feels comfy and secure.

This is my second Smith Vantage helmet. It has great ventilation, is lightweight and tight, yet comfortable. I like that it has two-zone adjustments for the vents. Most importantly, it is sturdy as had a few encounters with branches and trees.

Great design. You can dial in the fit, it’s not too large, small visor blocks sun well and keeps googles in place when off face. Ventilation switch is very useful and the helmet design prevents goggle fogging which has proven to work. Recommend pairing with smith goggles but not required.

Great Helmet, Bad Customer Service
I had bought a vantage helmet, and I loved it. However, I ended up having to do a warranty claim. The color I originally had was no longer available so I tried the lapis, but hated it. Because I did a warranty, I can't exchange it for a different color, even if I cover all return and shipping costs. Now I have a helmet I won't use, and need to buy a whole new helmet. Needless to say, I will be checking out other brands.

Thought it was time to upgrade from my hand-me-down helmet to something that I'm hoping will last me a while.
