Protection Works

I took a pretty big slam to the back of my head on my first ride with this helmet and I’m not brain dead so I’m gonna say it works as advertised. Im actually pretty surprised the helmet is still intact as well. I didn’t feel hot or cold with it, so that’s cool. Style is subjective.

Really Disappointed In The Overall

Really disappointed in the overall fit. I’ve tried a couple options and need the helmet for an upcoming trip so I will make do.. but the sizing is way way off. XL is entirely too small on the crown but too loose lower down. Disappointed

Great Helmet

Very light and comfortable! eEasily adjusts to fit my head and I really like the closable two- section vents! My favorite feature is the small little visor that goes out over the goggles that keep s okey-doke now from sitting on the top of my goggles

Shape Of Head Matters

Looks like a great product but not a good fit for my head shape- measured as suggested and ordered a large but not a good match - returned and ordered Nexus Round Contour in large and it’s a perfect fit -

It Fits Well But No

It fits well but no serious snow here in New England to give it a try yet. This is an upgrade for me. I’ve had same helmet before and I’m loyal to the brand.

Excellent Helmet....except The Ear Pads

Fits my head well. I've got two small bumps on the rear top corners of my head that sometimes make it a challenge to fit helmets however I knew that the Smith helmets fit well since I've been on 3x Smith Session mtb helmets. However....my big gripe with this helmet is the ear pads....they are not flexible enough to contort to the ears and rub oddly on the tragus (the little protruding cartilage part just outside the ear canal). It's uncomfortable and I do have to unclip the helmet from time to time as it rubs the tragus raw. I still like the fit but I feel the ear pads should be addressed in slight orientation and fabric choice. I might be the only one that would bring this up but helmet fit is really important to me in my sporting activities.

Quality, functionality, sizes wrong small so I have an xl after returning a L. I have trouble keeping Mende in place in front when not using but that could be user error. I am very satisfied with my purchase

Good Helmet!

This is my first ski helmet so I have nothing to compare it to. That said, I have many helmets for other sports.. Fit is really good with the ratchet system. Air flow is fantastic (as much or little as you could want)! Highly recommended.

Saved My Dad’s Life

This helmet saved my Dad’s life. We were skiing in Jackson Hole on a cloudy day. Unfortunately Ski Patrol didn’t mark the 6’ drop off to a catwalk completely. With zero visibility, he fell and hit his head directly on the catwalk. The MIPS system works. The shell cracked from impact. He is currently recovering from the brain injury. If he hadn’t had this helmet, he wouldn’t be here today. Thank you, Smith, for creating this helmet and saving my 68 year old father’s life.

Comfortable And Lightweight

This is my second Smith Vantage helmet. It has great ventilation, is lightweight and tight, yet comfortable. I like that it has two-zone adjustments for the vents. Most importantly, it is sturdy as had a few encounters with branches and trees.

Excellent All Around Helmet

Great design. You can dial in the fit, it’s not too large, small visor blocks sun well and keeps googles in place when off face. Ventilation switch is very useful and the helmet design prevents goggle fogging which has proven to work. Recommend pairing with smith goggles but not required.
