The Most Important Part Of My Kit (Short Of My Smith Helmet)

Going on 4 seasons with the 4D MAG. The original goggles I purchased are still in great shape after many, many days… The lenses are still free of scratches which is a minor mirical given how much time I spend skiing trees. Integration with my helmet i seamless, very little to no gap up front and the vents in the helment help to ensure airflow though the top of the goggles to help ensure they stay fog free. The only time I’ve gotten these to fog were operator error on my behalf that came after a long bootpack where I had built up too much heat that overcame all efforts to vent. Otherwise the do exactly what they are supposed to, provide clear vision and protection in inclement or bright sunny weather conditions.

Almost Perfect

I had the I/O mag S and felt they were just a touch too small so I thought I would try these. I love the shape of the 4D Mag lens and love the definition that the lenses give. I have the yellow storm which is great on stormy days in the PNW. However, I am getting some fogging which I don't have with the I/O Mag S. Wish there was an S version on the 4D Mag

Disappointed

These goggles have ruined two of my ski trips this season. They keep fogging up and freezing. There is also water stuck in between the layers of the lens. I had to keep going into the lodge to try and de-fog.

Air Seems To Be Coming

air seems to be coming in the sides. not sure how to stop this, aside from the fact that maybe they are too big for me. however that is not what i was told at a ski shop. i like the 4D, i miss the fit of my i/o.

4d Mag

Perfect fit & super easy to swap the lenses based on visibility

Great Goggles, My Third Pair,

Great goggles, my third pair, but came with the wrong colour "Everyday" lens. Instead of green, the primary lens was pink.

4d Mag

Excellent peripheral visibility! Major improvement over my past goggles. Standard lens great even in lower light conditions. Be sure to use microfiber cloth!

Great Field Of Vision. Low

Great field of vision. Low light lenses does a good job of picking up contrast when snowing. Have not had any fogging issues.

Love The Fit And Visibility

Love the fit and visibility of both lenses. I had a minor problem with strap. Customer service was great, goggles were replaced very quickly with no hassle.

Done With Smith

Lenses have fogged and strings have worked loose on strap, the latter is admittedly cosmetic and insignificant to safety issues presented by fogging. These issues are on a new pair after a warranty replacement necessitated by silicone inside the original pair’s strap turning into a gooey, sticky mess ruining every surface it can in contact with. Time to move on from Smith.

Good Lenses But Annoying To Change

The field of view is good, and the googles fit well, I find they fog easily, and changing the lense is cumbersome, the clips feel unnecessary making it take longer to change lenses, several strong magnets should be enough to hold the lense on.

Worth It

These goggles were worth the money. They stay put and clear the whole day on the mountain and once you change out the lenses once, it is so easy. Great product overall.

High Tier Goggles

Extremely crisp open view. Very comfortable fit and feel. Found it easy to adjust and setup. Definitely a big step up from my last goggles

Only Good For Groomer Days! Avoid Using This Goggle For Deep Powder Conditions!

I loved the look of this goggle and they work great when you are just riding groomers but on powder days it is terrible!! Everytime time I do a big turn and get a face shot of powder, the snow gets in between the lens. Then shortly after all that moisture will cause fogging and start to freeze. Once that happens I have to wipe my goggles at the top of every run. Terrible situation. They gave me my money back but I don't know what else to get. People with the i/o are having the same problem. The reason there's not more negative reviews is that most people wear these goggles on a non powder day and think they are great goggles (which they are in those specific conditions haha) But if they were getting face shots they would quickly realize this item is garbage.

Lenses Scratch Easily

Just bought and used one day and lens has a small scratch. - I do not abuse my stuff. Should not have happend so easily. I bought 2 other lenses with the goggles but my everyday red mirror was the one i wanted to use the most. will need to get replacement now (maybe)
