I Will Buy These Instead Of Compression Socks.

This was the first Tall socks I bought to try to get a type of compression feel on the legs without actually buying authentic compression socks. Compression socks can be too uncomfortable at times. So I thought the next best bet for me would be these tall merino wool socks help give me a support for my arthritic legs and knees but operate in a more easy comfortable hold. After I tried using these I decide to order another tall pair with proportioned cushion. I really like those. These are great too but thicker. So it depends on my mood and preference thinner or thicker. I really have been comforted and help using these Smartwool socks. I had used the crew type forever but for better health I opted to get the over the calf type. I am glad I did.

Very bulky, run very large. Hoping I can shrink them by washing. They are half way over my knee. The seam at the top of the sock/band is very tight and elasticy by the rest of the sock has nothing holding it in place, like without the band the would just slide down. Just a real odd sock
