G3 Waders

I have been using the G3 wader for years and love them. I am on the water a lot and also use them in conservation work. The fit for me is true, I wear a mens medium, I like the addition of the inside pocket, I keep my cell phone in this. The change to the shoulder straps is another matter. I liked the older shoulder straps better. The new ones seem to get twisted up often but it is not enough of an issue that I would not still by the wader. I guided for 16 years but have not guided for the last three. I am retired and still heavily engaged with Cold water conservation am in my waders and on the water doing citizen science, mentoring and youth education for fishing. I also each courses for the local library. In fact after I write this review, I am heading down to Silver Creek Nature Preserve in Idaho to scrub access ramps and do some work to help get ready for opening day. Thank you for making an excellent product, I also use the G3 boot, with rubber sole.

Durable comfortable and solid waders as usual from simms

Well Worn And Tested On Cape Cod!

I purchased my G3 goretex waders 4 years ago. I just spent 32 consecutive days wearing these waders fishing Cape ponds and the Canal. They are so “broken in” now they fit like a well worn pair of jeans! Not one leak or wet spot in 4 years of wear! These are so comfortable I wear them fishing even if I may not wading because they have just become my fishing uniform! They are going to get a little bit of a break now because I just got my new G4 waders in!

Still The King

I've lost count of how many Simms waders I've owned over the years. I fish a lot, and in some pretty crazy places. Good gear is very important to me, I don't have time to worry if something is going to fail me. I keep coming back Simms, they are the best at what they do. I love the G3's and as long as they keep making them to this standard I will continue to buy them.

G3s Are Still My Top Choice!

Still the same amazing G3 waders I’ve always loved, now even more comfortable! My previous pair lasted over 5 years, and I use them hard as a fishing guide in Patagonia, Argentina.

Loving The G3 Waders

Great fit, comfortable and breathable. Sizing chart was spot on. Long heard of the quality of Simms products, and they did not disappoint. Worn three times and appear very durable.

Awesome Waders, My First G3s

Awesome waders, my first G3s have had several pairs of freestone versions in the past. I'm 6' , 180lbs and found the medium regular were a little short in the torso with my past waders so got a medium long this time and they fit great. Happy to be dry on the river!!

Still The Best

I have been wearing the G3 Guide Waders for 20 years+ and they are still the best available. I put 50-70 days on them a year and with a little care they last for years. They also come in the most sizes which ensures a proper fitting wader. Wearing waders that are too large is dangerous, in the event of a fall they hold more water which makes it difficult to recover. The Small King size bridges the gap between small and medium and fit perfectly for me. Dry, durable and comfortable. I will keep on buying these.

As Expected

My purchase was as I expected from Simms. I have been wearing Simms products for years.

Save Your Money. . .

Sharp looking set of waders, poor craftsmanship. The outer zipper pocket shredded when I zipped it shut on the 3rd use. The materials are nice, just underwhelming performance from a "guide" level wader. Even after repair, I'm left with a hole in my top front zipper pocket only 2 weeks into the season.

Simms And Gortex Changed The World!

Ages ago I used “Redball” chest waders and before that neoprene waders - then the world changed and Gortex waders were invented - been wearing them ever since! Simms makes the best and I’m wearing them about 100 days per year. Add great service to a great product and you can’t go wrong.
