Freestone Bootfoot Waders

I had a chance to fish in my Freestone Bootfoot Waders several times this spring. I purchased them to provide more warmth on my feet during the spring steelhead season. I was very impressed with the Freestone Bootfoots. My I was able to fish in the cold spring water for hours without my feet getting cold. The quality of the boot is great and the traction allowed me to walk the edges of the river through snow and mud without slipping. This product worked great for me.

Great Waders

They are very nice. The zipper works great boots are nice and warm

Men's Freestone Z Bootfoot Waders - Rubber Sole

So far so good. I'm using these for duck hunting. I've only been on 5 hunts with them so a proper review would be a year from now regarding durability. I'm 6' 170lbs and the regular medium fits nicely, but if I lived in a really cold place I would probably get a large (I'm right in between sizes). The boots are comfortable, warm, and easy for my feet to slide into ( I wear a mens 10. 5 and ordered size 11 boots). I've not used them for fishing yet but I imagine I'll be putting studs in them for our slippery steelhead rivers. I do prefer the sliding suspenders system on my Patagonia zippered waders, these have a very basic suspender, but it works adequately. Only negative would be the wading belt tends to slip out when I hang them to dry.

Two Weeks Ago I Was

Two weeks ago I was fishing in the salmon River for steelhead trout it was 17° and I was quite comfortable and warm I normally wear a size 10, but I ordered an size 11 able to wear more clothes, more socks, and foot warmer glad I got them. Thank you.

Great Fit And 30 Days

Great fit and 30 days into duck season so far with zero problems. Boots are comfortable.

Great Bootfoot Waders

Amazing boot fit waiters. The boots are amazing and insulated and you don’t even feel the cold. I was out eight hours steelhead fishing. Only my fingers were frozen.

Cold Weather Fishing Solved

Great material and great fit. Ordered the boots a size up to fit warm socks. Good product

Wet

Very comfortable wader and true to size. Unfortunately, the material they are made from is just not waterproof. First trip out in these had some leakage, and was able to slightly extend the life of these by using multiple layers of seam sealer in the entire inside of the wader. I would try and send them back for a replacement, but I know others that have this wader, and are dealing with the same issues. This one is a rare dud from Simms.

Way Over Priced !

Boots should be available in 13 large. And insulation upgrade. I'm already aqua sealing the face of the boots . Areas of the rubber/ neoprene meet are pealing apart. Can't keep the suspenders from rolling off my shoulders no matter what shirt or jacket I wear, even while driving. Comfort or fit is not even close to my g3 stocking foots. Go back to g4 boot foot wader!

Too Big For Me

The smallest size 8 boots is still too large a suit for me. It doesn’t carry smaller waist or shorter feet options

Almost Perfect

Great boot only wish there was a L 13, at 62quot; 200 the xl is very very roomy. Otherwise great

Freestone Z

Excellent waders. Very comfortable and dry. I had to go up a boot size because my normal size was too tight in the ankle.

Nice Waders

Need to make bigger boot sizes. Had to send them back boots too tight

Not Just Fishing Waders

I was tired of buying sub par waders for hunting here in South Louisiana and I do not have any complaints like all Simms products Simply The Best

Great Option For Winter!

I run these with some Simms sweats underneath and stay nice and toasty in the cooler months. The I’m a true 12. 5 and bounce between 12 and 13 for shoes. Went with the 12s here and they’re narrow but seemed to break in alight after a day or two. If you have wide feet I’d recommend sizing up if faced with that decision. Overall good looking waders that are just as at home in the marsh as they are in a cold stream.
