Appeared very wrinkled when it arrived but smoothed out a bit over a month. Good zipper, inside pocket, hood. Warm and nice long sleeves with tangled ends. Love the burnish gold color

I was looking for a little extra layering, this hoodie fits the bill. This hoodie is lite enough to stuff in my fishing pack in the afternoon. It is just what I was looking for great job.

Good low feature insulated jacket. I like the light weight.

Good fit and perfect weight for layering under waders. Not too bulky.

The Simms Fall Run Insulated Hoodie has become my go-to light puff jacket. It stays in my truck or in my fishing bag at all times. It’s lightweight, packs down easy, and throws on quick when that unexpected chill rolls in. It’s warm without being bulky, blocks wind well, and doesn’t restrict movement when I’m casting. Perfect for early mornings or cool runs across the bay. Simple, dependable, and always within reach — exactly what a light puff jacket should be. Solid piece of gear I always keep handy just in case.

I had a 10+ year old puffy jacket from an another well known adventure clothing company. I loved it for its ability to keep me warm, not feel cumbersome (which I hate) and to pack down and stow in my gear bag. Sadly, after years of service, it died. I purchased a Fall Run, hoping it would be at least half as good as the old puffy. It’s actually better in that it does all the things I need it to do, plus it has a hood! And because it’s more fishing specific, there’s more storage where I need it, AND Its DWR coated on the shell. My wife appreciates it as well because when we go out for a craft beer, I don’t look like I’m dressed like I just came off the CDT after weeks in the backcountry. .

Unfortunately, the sizing keep changing. I have had 5 of this same jacket over the years and the sizing until recently was always consistent. I always wear a medium and the one I ordered in the fall was too big but the small was just right. Recently, I ordered another jacket because of a sale and so I went with the small but, it's too small. The old version of this coat was always true to size. What gives?

I bought it to go under my wading jacket on those cold fall & winter steelhead mornings it’s great can also be used as a light jacket by itself thank you.

I have owned the fr jacket and loved it. This year i bought the hoody. The jacket part is fine, but there is no way to tighten the hood. How much more would it cost to add a cinch cord ? Without some addition, it will be useless when facing into a winter wind. I’m trying to figure out some modification i can make to solve this problem. I just never thought simms would sell a winter hoody without a hood adjustment. Am i missing something?

I broke this hoody in steelheading fishing in BC for a straight week. It delivered as a great layer, often times used as outer layer even in 40 degree days, repels light rain nicely. It’s very warm with very little packing space required. Highly recommend.

Excellent jacket. Such a perfect layer for fishing under a guide series rain jacket.
This jacket is excellent and is a great jacket for layering in cold weather.
