  • High density 210T weave gives the fabric a stronger tear strength and greater durability
  • White PU coating reflects light and makes it easier to identify contents inside your dry sack
  • PU coating to make two different versions of this fabric: 2,000mm (Nylon Stuff Sacks, Pack Covers and Compression Sacks) and 10,000mm (Lightweight Dry Sacks, eVac Dry Sacks and Dry Compression Sacks) waterhead rated
  • eVent is a proprietary waterproof breathable membrane fabric with micro-fine pores that allow the passage of water vapour but not liquid
  • Traditionally, waterproof and breathable PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes glog easily by body oils, which renders them useless after a little use
  • Solution was to add a PU backing to protect the PTFE membrane
  • When thin enough, PU still allows vapour transmission but at a much lower rate
  • Some manufacturers avoid the membrane and just use a PU coating
  • PU has to be relatively thick to ensure sufficient waterproofing, resulting in even lower breathability
  • Genius of eVent was to make the membrane oleophobic (oil repellent), meaning it wouldn't clog with oils, therefore didn't need the inhibiting PU layer
  • Sufficiently breathable that a pressure gradient can force air through it
  • eVent in this way as a purge valve in the bottom of our eVac Dry Sacks, and our Ultra-Sil and 70D Dry Compression Sacks
