PA MidState Hiker
A well constructed hiking boot. The out-of-box fit was snug, but comfortable, and should improve with use. The Vibram outsoles are a bit stiff but provide excellent traction on rocky terrain typical in Mid State PA. Overall the Kailash Trek GTX is a 5 star rated boot

This is my forth pair of these shoes. I wear them every day (whether I'm going hiking or going to work) and they me last 4-5 years. I like them because they're very comfortable and the GORE-TEX keeps my feet dry. They also get a great grip on the trail and protect my feet from all manner of trail hazards. On the negative side, the sole separates from the shoe after a few years. It’s possible to glue the sole back on, but for what these cost, the soles shouldn’t come unglued.

The boots are amazingly comfortable. I have worn them on camping trips with some water crossings, hiking, general outdoor activities, and also some around the house work. Once I figured out how to tie them to fit my foot better I couldn't hardly tell I had them on. They breathe well and my feet feel fresh and dry. I also wear wool socks which add to that. That traction is there for me in everything I've put them through. I believe I've found my new favorite boots.

This is the second pair of this model I have, I can say it’s a durable and high-quality product. Last experience hiking I had 18000 feet elevation above the sea level.

This is my 4th pair of scarpa boots that I own and these are the best. I wear them for work everyday and hiking. These boots may be on more of the aggressive side but they ware like a lite hiking boot.

This is my second pair of Scarpa Kailish boots. I loved the first pair so much, I replaced them with a new pair after 4 years of solid wearing. Highly recommend

These boots seem to have good range of adjustability coming from the laces, which allows for you to customize the fit and minimize foot and sole movement inside. Speaking of which, I normally fit well in "wide" option on hiking shoes, but on the Scarpa I did not need that and they were exactly matching my street shoe size.

Finally writing my review. I love these boots. I will probably never own another boot so long as Scarpa keeps making this one. I have over 700 miles on my first pair and just ordered a second pair. Most of the miles have been on extended backpacking trips (and training for those hikes). Great combination of support, durability, lighter weight, and water proof. I can wear these boots all day. Uppers and lacing prevent my toe from hitting the toe box when going down steeper slopes. Everyone's foot different. I'm just glad I found the Scarpa Kailash.

So far, I am very pleased with these boots. I've been wearing them around the house and town, and just wore them on the trail for a day hike last week. I wear a men's size 10.5 and have a relatively narrow foot, and the size 44 fit spot on for me. This is my first pair of lighter weight Scarpa boots after using the Scarpa full grained leather boots for backpacking and working in the woods for decades. Of course, the real test will be when I use them backpacking this summer.

I’m 6’ tall with a size 13 foot. I cannot buy Women’s hiking boots. This is my second pair of mens Scarpas because I love my first pair so much. So far, I love these as much. Plus, they look awesome.

I bought these 2 months ago and just love them they are totally waterproof. They have a more rigid sole which i like for hiking and backpacking and are extremely comfortable. I wear them all the time whether it is snowing or raining they keep me warm and dry. I have a pair of the same brand and style from 6 years ago and they are extremely well made.

Had a couple of the old kailash wide models and loved them. This one is a out the same. Maybe a bit lighter. If you are like me and have duck feet this is definitely one of the best wide fit boots around

I bought these boots a couple weeks ago and they are awesome. Little to no break in time required. They feel like sturdy slippers, but with all the protection of a leather boot!

Excellent hiking and everyday boot. Scarpa boots still made in Italy to the highest standards. This is my second pair and I will buy no other.

This is a great boot stable and a long wearing polyurethane midsole. I had these boots severL years ago. Unfortunately this one did not fit my foot. Just a geometry issue if it had would definitely keep it and love the construction and design
