Haven’t tried them yet, look fine, hope they grip, last a long time? Hopefully, brand name so……..they want me to write more characters, ummmm, hope that doesn’t affect my entry in the sweepstakes!

I have climbed off and on for 30 years. Much of that time I focused on old school trad, but more recently I have been developing moderate (5.10 and below) sport climbs. I wanted a shoe I could wear all day doing multi-pitch trad or wear all day while cleaning, climbing and bolting a new line. This shoe climbs great even when sized for all day comfort.

Great beginner shoe and great advanced shoe! One of the best neutral shoes for the price. Holds up to multipitchs, sport climbing, gym climbing, bouldering… great investment!

Relatively new climber and my only experience are pungent rental shoes and these. I will say these Scarpa Helix fit my feet like a glove - snug in the heel without crushing my toes and gives me the confidence to place my weight on the smallest of toe holds. I would show you, but you gotta pay extra for them premium toe pics. Regardless, all feet are different so just try a bunch on and see what fits best.

Know upfront I am fully in the "laces over velcro" camp. I mostly sport climb indoor, but also do some outdoor sport climbing. In my opinion, I have never had another pair that conformed to my foot better. The result is that it feels like a freaking glove on my foot - but doesn't seem to cause any pain. Works extremely well. AND, they have held up for like 3-4 years of climbing 2-3 times per week. This is actually my second pair so that I have a pair to climb in when I have them re-soled by Vibram. Expect to own these for a very long time.

A bit flat but I like them a lot. I went a half size below my normal shoe size, and they took a really long time to break in but overall a quality shoe

I bought these puppies just a few weeks ago and used them on a trip to climb in Red River Gorge. Prior to these, I owned a pair of Black Diamonds that I was not a huge fan of, particularly because I have really long, flat, and narrow feet (Size 13.5 regular). Biggest pro for me was the laces which obviously allow for more adjustability than the velcro straps on my Black Diamonds. End of the day, everyone’s foot is different but if you have big flippers like me then definitely consider these.

This is my second pair of Helix. I wear a 9 US Men's in most brands, and a 42 is perfect. The fit is comfortable, snug on the heel, and not too tight on the toes. I can usually wear them for a few hours at a time before my feet start getting angry at me. The sole is stiff enough for good support, but no where near as stiff as most aggressive shoes, like the Scarpa Instinct. This is definitely a general climbing shoe. Doesn't wow in any one type of climbing, but does well enough in all of them. It's my go-to for a long session, and when I don't want to worry about my feet bleeding at the end.

The first pair of climbing shoes I've purchased (used primarily for bouldering) but the fit and feel right out of the box is great. I went back and forth on velcro or laces, but I feel the laces give an overall better fit around your entire foot and the leather upper is nice and soft. Definitely feels grippy and sticky on the wall.

I’m a novice climber of about 2 years and I upgraded from some entry level evolv’s to these. The difference was instantly noticeable. Not a super aggressive downturn but definitely a nice scoop and the sides and toe box are great for presses and hooking. They break in easily as well and the leather feels high quality. Great bang for your buck shoe.

These rock climbing shoes are my first and I was surprised how well they fit my feet! I think I ordered half a size down and they are perfect. They have good grip and are easy to tighten up real good and tie. Highly recommend!

I’m happy I bought this shoe because they arnt aggressive and I can walk around in them without having to take them off to be comfortable. Also the toe to the shoe is very good, sick to the rock very well

Got this for Christmas. Took only 3 climbs to break in. They fit great. Another level up. I am happy with them. I have climbed for a while. So, I was thinking about trying a little more aggressive shoes. So, I decided to purchase this.

The Scarpa Helix are some of the most comfortable climbing shoes I've ever owned. They're not super aggressive, but they're sticky, and make any route feel that much easier. Sadly, they're not quite as durable as I would have hoped, as a hole appeared only about 3.5 months after using them. Scarpa claimed the hole was due to normal wear and tear, but that seems like an awful short amount of time for the lifespan of a shoe. Regardless, I might buy them again as outside of the short life they were a great shoe to climb with.

I like these shoes because the fit perfect thanks to the laces. It takes longer to put them on than velcro but if you're climbing at a gym you don't really have to take them off ever.
