I am a Wildland Firefighter EMT and I bought these for work. I have worn custom boots and these fit like they were made for me. Very supportive and comfortable for 16 hr. workdays in the mountains. They fit true to size and have room for the toes. I am happy with the purchase!

I've owned several pairs of Scarpa Fuego boots and highly recommend them. Even with daily use including irrigating and rough terrain, the rubber and leather always stay connected. These are excellent for hunting and daily wear.

I've worn scarpa fuegos for all of my five seasons in fire, including 4 hotshot seasons. As such, I can't compare them to any other boots, but clearly they work well for me. The durability is decent for this style of boot: one pair lasts me about two seasons. The biggest drawback and the only thing that really bothers me about them is that they are WARM. So warm that I use old worn out pairs for shoveling in the winter.

I purchased these boots for wildland fire, and so far the have performed well. They’re super comfortable and rigid. There’s a little break in period, but not to bad compared to some other boots. The rigid Vibram sole will protect you feet from rocky and rugged terrain. They are also a great option for mountaineering, hiking, or just working. If your buying them for wildland fire, you’ll have to replace the shoe strings. Overall, a great fire boot and great hiking/mountaineering boot. Definitely a great alternative to a high end boot like Nicks or Whites.

I bought these for Forestry field trips and cold season outdoor activities. The fit feels true to size. The toe box is wide and allows your toes to breathe. No cramping. However, the heel fits snug along with shank of foot. So you feel one with the shoe. I bought 1/2 size bigger to be safe and I put a thicker orthotic to compensate. Doing alot of off trail scrambling is where these boots particularly shine. My foot feel very secure and planted on steep wooded slopes as well as scree giving me greater confidence in the field. The only possible downside is these are heavy boots without tremendous flexibility. They will break in over time; however, as these are purpose-built for light mountaineering, they are the best pair of boots I've ever owned

I bought these for my husband because he needed something better for his feet because he is a tree climber. He loves them and even recommended them to his coworkers. I heard of these boots from my father who is a hot shot fire fighter and my brother who is also a fire fighter. Both said the scarpas are the best. So I ordered them and it’s been about 2 weeks since we received them and my husband will never buy from anywhere else ever again. He is sold on these!

I work as a forester and do wildland fire on occasion. A lot of my coworkers recommend this boot so I thought I would give it a go. I love this boot for many reasons, the largest being the European sizing. I find myself between a 9 and 9.5, so going with the 42.5 size turned out perfect! I have skinny ankles/Achilles area which makes other boots hard to get a good fit. Not with these! One thing I will say, know what you are buying. Scarpa is a mountaineering boot maker, so these have a stiff sole compared to your average hiking boot or mass produced leather boot. That said, the break in is not bad at all. Give them a try, I doubt you will regret it!

I bought the scarpa fuego boots a month ago and I had excellent customer service. Very understanding and good listeners. They met my needs and generally cared about what I had to say. Shipment was fast and handled well. And in good packaging. Very impressed and will shop here again!

Use them for wildfire, break in process isn't as bad as others said. If you're doing a lot of hiking break in only takes about two weeks. True to size fit and very comfortable for me. Only a little over a month so too early to tell but seem to be holding up very well.

I purchased these for Wildland Firefighting boots on a recommendation. They are very comfortable, although the soles are stiff (I haven't broken them in yet). I wear a 10D in everything, and these are no different - true to size.

Bought these as first time wildland firefighter boots, fit great but the sides are extremely stiff. I'm sure over time they will soften up enough to make hiking and moving around for the job a lot easier

I’ve been wearing them for a month I work as a wildland firefighter. They fit perfectly and had zero break in time! I would highly recommend

My last pair lasted 2 1/2 seasons as a primary sawyer on my shot crew. In my opinion these are the best for lots of hiking and they stand up to heat just fine. I would not want to go back to logger boots.

I bought my boots about a month ago. They work well hiking in the forest (I'm a fire fighter). This is my 3rd pair of boots so you know how much I like these as I keep coming back.

Scarpa Fuegos are stiff boots when walking, but very comfortable on the inside. However the bottom of the tongue pushes down on the toes a little, so a light de-circulation of the toes happen. It feels slightly numb but not terrible. The quality of the boots seem great, seems to fit at the price point.
