Highly Recommended Speed Running Shoe

Great running shoes! The Endorphin Speed does not disappoint! Version 3 was my all-time favorite 2 years ago, and now Version 5 improves on that in essentially every way, plus the wide-size is available - which I prefer for a more accommodating fit. Overall, this shoe is propulsive, rolls nicely, and is surprisingly well cushioned. The upper is exceptionally well breathable. This shoe is considerably more stable than Version 3 was which is a nice surprise. It's excellent on the street, and outstanding on the treadmill with the shoe's geometry supporting smooth rolling transitions. This is a speed/tempo running shoe that also can handle easier paces well, something the Version 3 wasn't as good at.

Good Shoe But Sad Durability And Warranty

I bought this shoe in December of 2025, and have put 110 miles on them up to this review in May 2026. I really enjoy how light and firm this shoe is. It also has enough stack to keep me comfortable on my longer or slower runs. Sadly, the shoe is starting to come apart a bit. It’s a small thing, but it’s right up against my pinky toe which is really annoying. It seems like a design flaw alongside failing glue. I looked into doing a warranty claim but the process is ridiculous. Requiring proof of purchase, making the customer pay for shipping, and keeping the shoes for months just to make a decision about whether they will replace or not. I’ll fix these shoes, but I don’t know if I’ll buy Saucony again for fear of a warranty issue

Less than 30 miles with a lot of peeling. Great stability just falls apart.

I like that it has wide version and super comfortable yet has a nice bounce in it.

Ran Like Lightning

These are the first "speed" shoes I've purchased for myself and have been nothing but happy with them. I have wide feet and these have done the job perfectly for what I use them for!

Poor Durability

I bought these shoes seven months ago. I use them sparingly not more than 15 miles a week. The shoes have already started to break down and tear. Wouldn’t recommend them. Disappointed in the quality.

What's Up With The Tongue.

Good cushion but the tongue is so short that you can't even tie the shoe without it sliding down and bunching up.

Great Performance Shoe

Looks good. Fits well. Great for performance runs (fast intervals, threshold speed, race speed etc.)

Bought these a couple weeks ago as a first pair of plated shoes for speed workouts. Have done 2 workouts and a long run in them. Feel nice and snappy and carried me to a HM PR. Felt bouncy especially on tired legs. Slight hotspot at top lace on inside of foot but a little working got it sorted out.

Speed 5's Are A Win!

This is my 2nd pair of Endorphin Speed 5's and I freaking love them. They are comfortable, bouncy, and the nylon plate is great for daily training. The Shocks colour is darn awesome too!

Wide Fit A Huge Bonus

I tried the wide fit in the saucony speed . There has been a trend in the endorphin iterations to get narrower. I have been very pleased with the wide fit. Great comfort, and support and a fantastic training and racing shoe.

Love these shoes, I use them for my short and longs runs. Definitely give me what I need to go fast and perfect amount of cushioning for when I’m slow.
