Volatile Organic Compound Plastics Smell
The Saucony products following the Kinvara 15s all smell like PCBs and VOCs. The smell is intense like cheap plastic shower curtains. The smell penetrates the socks too. I'd like to write management a letter to provide feedback, however, I can only find this product-specific feedback form.

Decent Improvement, Can Be Better!!!
Much thanks to Saucony for bringing in the wide version for Endorphin speed 5. (I brought the Endorphin speed 4 and found the fit to be a bit narrow. I also found the Endorphin pro 4 too narrow when I brought them.) Here are my thoughts about the Endorphin speed 5, I brought the wide version for Size 12 and 11.5 and found wide size 12 to be a better fit: Pros: - Great Energy return. Good for Tempo efforts. - Good fit available in Wide sizes, Thank you, Saucony! - Good stability - I found the shoes to be stable and comfortable. - The speed roll technology is great! Cons: - Tongue of these Endorphin speed 5 shoes are too short! and they slide inside towards the toe box, which makes it even shorter, causing potential lace bites. This is very dissappointing. - Outsole durability is poor, few miles in the road and the shoe looks pretty old already. - Way too pricey considering the low quality of the shoe, I would expect a way better quality for this price point, just like other brands - asics, and Adidas, etc. I sincerely hope Saucony can improve on these cons, and continue to innovate with the Pros - such as energy return and the speed roll tech and bringing in Wide sized shoes.

Good Overall Training Shoes.
I’ve been running in the Speed series since they started. Liked the 2 version best of all since I like narrower lightweight shoes. I keep a pair of those for my races. The 5’s have wider souls which a lot of larger runners may need for stability. I already had a pair of the 5’s that I trained in over the last 4 months. Bought the 5’s again. They are good for my training except for slower runs. You get a good forward drive from the nylon plate without paying more for shoes with carbon fiber plates. I am 70 years old, and my long runs are slower than what they used to be. I get too much scraping the ground from these shoes at a slower pace. I bought a pair of non plated shoes for those runs. The Speed 5’s work great for my runs at a normal to faster pace. The fit is good right out of the box. They are well ventilated. I haven’t had any problems with them on snowy or wet roads since I run outdoors year round through the Chicago area weather.
