I bought these boots last month for a week of hikes in Madeira, and to begin with I loved them - they were the most comfortable, cushioned and light hiking boots I've ever worn and also looked great. However, about 3 hikes in, the ankle support started bruising my ankles and on the last day it was so painful I couldn't walk anymore. The pain from the ankle support was literally blinding. I'm gutted as they were not cheap, and I don't know if I can take them on another hike again given this was what happened.

These inner lace hooks create nasty catches that I almost broke my wrist by falling when one inner boot hook caught the other during a simple forward stride!

As someone with super narrow feet, I have finally found a hiking boot that doesn't make my foot feel like it's sloshing around when I'm walking. I'm in between a 9 & 10 when it comes to shoes. My last hiking shoes were the trail runners and I couldn't give up this brand since they had been good to me the last 10 years. I do wear a lighter sock under my merino wool hiking socks to make the boots just the perfect amount of snug. Excited to see what the next 10 years bring out of these!

Wears them all around hiking and disc golfing and has nothing to complain about with them. Loves the look and loves the comfort when outdoors hiking all day

I walk several miles outside through various terrains for work daily, and these are the best shoes I’ve owned. They are so comfortable! Never got sore feet the first day wearing them, unlike other boots that take forever to break in. Definitely worth the money

I have wide feet and these fit perfectly. They are lightweight, grippy in mud and the insoles provide great cushioning in the right places. Unfortunately, they are not waterproof. I walked in wet grass, not puddles and feet got soaked.

For hiking shoes I typically order a half size up, but when I recieved these I realized the sizes are actually pretty accurate to what I typically wear, and the half size up was too big. So they’re not kidding about the size accuracy!

Liked the style and colors. Not tried yet on the outdoors but on the treadmill my wife said they are comfortable and light.

Maybe I have small ankles, but it will too loose for me.

Very comfortable hiking shoe. Excellent traction for all types of terrain. Gore-Tex water proofing working as it should in snow and hiking thru streams.

Love these soo much! Bought them for upcoming hiking trip. Thought I'd "break them in" on a shorted frozen lake hike - perfectly comfortable right out of the box!

Bought this for my wife. She loves the traction and the support. Also love that the laces are heavy duty and done feel flimsy.

I like these hiking boots pretty well. My only real complaint is that they are a bit wide, which makes them a little clunky. Still, they are warm and comfortable overall, not overly heavy, and they keep my feet dry.

Shoe laces are too long and won’t stayed tied. Look at the photo of model wearing the boots, who needs laces this long? When double knotted the other shoe has gotten caught in the loop and threw me down to the ground. I have used with gaiters and ice cleats in the snow and still have thrown me to the ground. What drew me to these boots is that I like I higher cuff around the ankle however the buckle at the top of cuff sticks out to far and it’s nearly impossible to keep from rubbing against each other when walking. Normally I love the Salomon brand but there are serious design flaws with the laces and buckles. I would not recommend these boots for these issues alone.
A very disappointed hiker
There are so many issues with these shoes. I bought them in July because I had several hikes planned for the rest of the year, and unfortunately they were a disappointment from the very first use. The laces are excessively long, the breathability is poor, and they are not truly waterproof. On top of that, the inside is extremely difficult to dry. I guess this is a reminder that it’s better to wait at least a few months, or year to see other hikers’ reviews before buying new models. I was hoping for modern technology and high quality for the many trekking trips and 4,000+ masl hikes I had planned, but a high price or a new version doesn’t always translate into real quality. A big mistake for any serious hiker.
