Excellent Boot

After much research I bought my first pair of Salomon boots, wow so glad I did! I have had them about a month now and they were comfortable straight from the box. I have wide feet with arthritis in my toes so often have problems with footwear but not with these boots. They are very lightweight but sturdy and totally waterproof. I’m off hiking in the Bavarian Alps soon and feel confident that my feet are going to be fine!

Great Boots!!

I needed a new pair of hiking boots and can no longer get the boots I had so decided to try Salomon’s. I’m glad I did. I’m really enjoying them. They required no break in. I wore them around the house for a day, then took a 1.5 mile walk, then a few days later a 5 mile hike. I’m happy to say no hot spots and no blisters. I also like the wider toe box which is why I believe they are so comfortable.

Light & Excellent Grip

Personally I had to break these shoes in a little bit, but after that they felt quite comfortable and light. Ankle support could be better (had to re-tie them multiple times) but the grip is excellent! Used in rocky terrain both wet and dry and they performed spectacularly. Felt very safe.

Worst Hiking Shoe. Do Not Buy!!

I am an avid hiker and have always purchased salmon for their quality and comfort and this is probably the worst shoe I’ve ever purchased in all my years. They get so hot on my feet so fast and I cannot leave them on for more than a 2-3 hours with just regular socks. After only a month of wearing these the rubber notches on the bottoms of the shoe just started tearing off and now whenever there are rocks or sticks on the path the bottom of the shoe catches on those things because of the hanging notches so I trip so much. There is little to no ankle support and my shoe laces never ever stayed tied no matter how much I tie them. As a person who has always bought Salomon hiking boots I am extremely disappointed. I literally can’t even wear these. I have probably worn these less than 30 times since I bought them a year ago and am just using my old busted up Salomon’s with holes in them and no tread on the bottom rather than these to hike. What a waste of money. Please do not buy.

Comfortable And Waterproof

Bought to replace my previous (5+ year old) salomon walking boots, and after a couple of weeks of daily use I'm very happy. These are comfortable, supportive, and waterproof. Couldn't ask for any more, except that the laces are shorter than any I've had before, and annoying to tie - a cheap step to take and hence 4 stars.
