These have been comfortable and very supportive. I haven’t had a chance to hit the trails yet, but they’re light and comfortable at work on concrete floors.

I bought this shoe in anticipation of a major trek in Scotland. 45 miles in 4 days. I have worn the shoe a dozen times. It feels great, lightweight but rugged. You really didn't need to break this shoe in.

Super comfy for hikes and the water resistance of the shoes are just what I was looking for

I have put about 200 hours on my x ultra 5 gym mid boots. Overall the quality and durability is superior to anything else I have tried at this price point. The stock insoles were not so great for my high arches, and I wish there was slightly more room in the toe for a thicker after market insole because my feet are a little crowded.

At first I didn’t like the arch the shoe provided but the more I wore them, I realized how amazing it was. I can go on a twelve mile hike and not feel like I have to rip them off!

Amazing 3/4 boot overall, light good grip and sturdy for tactical hikes.

Comfortable and I feel stable in them and they were easy to break into

I’ve had a lot of Solomon’s and these by far and the most rugged and comfortable ones I’ve purchased

I bought these for a 28 mile hike / race. They felt broken in out of the box and were amazing for my event. Money well spent!

Previous model was good. I experienced some stitching issues on both boots which Salomon warrantied. The new model is more comfortable. I think the laces are better and will stay tied better than the previous model. Only thing is I wish they offered a more solid green boot.

I shouldn't have been surprised because Salomon generally suit my feet but these boots were comfortable from the start. They feel sturdy and secure and yet are lightweight. I chose the wide because I like a roomy toebox because I can get problems with my smaller toes.

I had the previous generation. Unfortunately they ripped at the toe box. But I’m really impressed with the latest version. The toe box has been reinforced, new colours added, and overall these shoes feel great. I use them for a mixture of terrains found in the British countryside from country lanes to chalk downs and so far they’ve overcome every brook, hill, and bridal lane. 10/10!

With a month of nearly daily wear, it may be a bit too early to tell but here are my initial thoughts: The boot is roomy and accepted a Currex medium profile insole while still maintaining a great fit, I ordered my brannock size. I had reached out to CS about the sizing for insole prior to ordering but they suggested I order my brannock size and a pair sized up to choose the best fit (I didn’t, and luckily it worked out). I would say the boot runs large because of this. So far, I am satisfied with the boot overall. Unfortunately, these are no exception from the “flip flop” sound they make while walking others have complained about. The sound doesn’t bother me too much but it is noticeable. The laces also seem to want to untie easily. The boot sinches down with the laces to an even firm grip and feels great. They are very lightweight and seem to have decent grip on wet rock. We will see how they hold up but overall I am happy with the purchase for daily wear on trail, rock, gravel and woods for my job.

A lot of hiking boots don't work because of their rigid conformity to a foot the shape of the boot. I feel like this boot fits the conformity of my foot. Its not bulky, but built right in the right places. I will buy a couple more, same boot, different colors.

Great hiking boot with good grip. Had someone ask what boots I had when doing some scrambling.
