Already had the Xt5 low top that I love, got these for ankle support on a pretty extreme 50 mile backpacking trip and experienced no foot pain and no blisters. Grip was great through snow and rain. Highly recommend.

Boots have been true to size for me...fit perfectly, and have been very comfortable out of the box. I am also extremely happy with their lightweight, traction and ankle support. Lastly, the boots look good and therefore I feel good wearing them. Nothing negative to say about my experience with these boots thus far. Excited to be wearing them on a forthcoming backcountry hike at the end of the month.

I bought the Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid GORE-TEX as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves them. They’re comfortable, lightweight, and provide excellent support and stability on hikes. The waterproof GORE-TEX protection works great, keeping his feet dry while still feeling breathable. The quality and durability are impressive, and they look fantastic too. A perfect choice for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

I love these shoes! I bought them for work because I work at a car wash and I love them! I am on my feet all day and work around water. These definitely keep my feet dry and comfortable.

Bought these a month ago as I was getting back into backpacking / long day hikes after some years. I broke them in around the house and local parks but did not get time for a smaller hike before heading to Central America. These boots stood up to the rain and technical terrain, providing comfortability and stability.

My ultra 4s wore out which were great so I replaced them with the 5s just not as comfortable. The tongue is way too thick to get a good lace tie. And they are not the same feel.

I have I have worn these boots for the last month at work and absolutely love them. I do roughly 18,000 steps a day at work and have no fatigue at the days end. They comfortable and seem to be holding up well. Very light weight also

These boots were great right out the box. Super comfortable with no break in. After 100+ miles they still look practically fresh out the box so I'm expecting a good life out of them. Supportive and light, they've been perfect for me as a day-hiker.

I bought the Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid level hiking shoe. I wore these shoes almost every day and love them. They are super comfortable and have great tread when walking on slanted or wet surfaces. I recommend these shoes to anyone who enjoys every day walking on hiking trails or even on paved roads.

These boot have become my do everything boots. Yes, I’ve gone hiking in the rain, mud and blazing heat in these boots. But I also walk the dogs in the morning and evening because they are so comfortable. They are light, nibble and fit perfectly.

I bought a pair of the X Ultra 5 Mid GTX for a recent trip to Iceland. While I was not doing any heavy hiking, the hikes on wet rocks, jagged lava, muddy trails and Sandy beaches and even city touring were a pleasure with these boots. Comfortable, lightweight, sturdy and extremely grippy were exactly what I needed. My feet were dry the entire trip! I only regret was not trying this brand earlier. I’m an avid x-country skier and have always loved Salomon boots. I can’t wait to test these in NH White Mountains this summer.

I've worn these on three hikes in preparation for the Inca Trail. No blisters, no hotspots, no need to break them in. The sole is at the midpoint between a trail runner and a trad hiking boot, so not soft but not super stiff. Rocks are noticeable but not an issue. I've been hiking on warm days and the heat on my feet isn't insufferable. I'd but a half size higher next time especially if you plan to add insoles. My superfeet make them a little too tight after 6 miles.
