The Genesis are a comfortable pair of shoes that fit true and take no breaking in. However, I find that the soles are a bit soft and I had expected a bit firmer feel like a trail hiking shoe.

The shoe was great when I first got it. Solid fit & size, very comfortable. The only problem was that the heel lugs wore down on the right side after only a few hikes/runs (gravel) and it caused my stride to curve my ankle to the outside. i've never had this issue with any other shoe. really wanted to keep this shoe, but now im looking for a different pair tat can hold up on the different terrain.

This shoe is still great! It fits extremely well. An offers fantastic support in the gym and out on the street. I hope you don’t change it.

I've been wearing Salomon's for a while now and I think this is the best trailrunning shoe yet. I'm very hesitant to buy shoes online, but I was very happy that the fit was exactly as expected and matched the same size in other Salomon shoes. Thanks for making a quality product!

I don’t know what it is about these, but they are a blast! Super fun on the descent and doesn’t weigh you down on the ascent. Foot always feels secure and protected.

While my local trails do not offer too much of the technical terrain that these shoes crave, I enjoyed taking them for a spin on the California carpet. Certainly a lot stiffer than something like the opti foam in the aero line, but great for protection for the sharp edges that you might find under foot. I love the color way of mine and will be excited to use these in the Sierra where I think they will really shine.

I'm on my 3rd pair of Salomon Genesis shoes! 1st pair 507 miles, 2nd pair 627 miles, and 46 miles on this 3rd pair! I wore Hoka Speedgoat shoes but the front and inner areas would rip from roots and rocks.... finally a trail shoe that doesn't get shredded on the trails! Thank you, I'm a believer in the Salomon Genesis!

I really don’t like to be negative about this brand. I’ve owned several of their shoe models before and they have served me very well. But these Genesis are absolutely destroying my feet. On my right foot I’ve got three hot spots that fire up every time I wear these shoes and two on my left foot. The shoe is incredibly supportive, and the foot bed is very comfortable. But the top side feels so rigid that there’s just no give to mold to the foot. I’ve given them a week of daily wear to see if they would break in, but at this point, I just don’t think I can take it anymore.
