Good Shoes, Narrow Toe Box

I have been running and hiking in these shoes for about a month, here are my thoughts: 1. the toe box is too small. I am usually comfortable with many different shoe designs, but these have caused blisters on the outside of my little toe. 2. Fortunately, it is possible to diminish this issue. The lace pull makes it easy to adjust pressure on different parts of the foot, or to tighten laces when descending and loosen them when ascending, but I find myself having to make adjustments often enough that it is frustrating. 3. when cinched tight, the shoes are very stable, and get good grip on loose scree as well as big rocks.

I’m stoked on the fit of the Genesis. They secure my feet very well in different conditions. I play a ton of Disc Golf on some very hilly courses. They have great grip when I need that positive footing. I would have given them five stars but I changed out the footbeds pretty fast. They’re tight weave mesh keeps the foxtails to a minimum which is clutch this time of year in So Cal. Thanks Salomon, for another pair of dependable shoes !!

The shoe was great when I first got it. Solid fit & size, very comfortable. The only problem was that the heel lugs wore down on the right side after only a few hikes/runs (gravel) and it caused my stride to curve my ankle to the outside. i've never had this issue with any other shoe. really wanted to keep this shoe, but now im looking for a different pair tat can hold up on the different terrain.
