Had it a while Comfortable and light was to carry in a bag

I’ve been using the Salomon BONATTI CROSS WIND jacket for a while now, and honestly, it’s one of those pieces you don’t realize you need until you wear it. It’s super light, packs down to nothing, and just works when the wind picks up. What I love most is how comfortable and breathable it feels while still blocking the wind. I’ve worn it on early morning runs and breezy trail days, and it strikes that perfect balance, keeps the chill off without turning into a sauna. The fit is nice and streamlined, not too baggy or noisy, and the small design touches show Salomon really thought it through: The snap button on the chest is genius, lets me unzip for airflow without the jacket flapping around. The elastic hood and cuffs keep things in place when it’s gusty. And the chest pocket is just enough for keys or a gel, nothing extra, nothing missing. It’s not meant for pouring rain, but for wind and light showers, it’s perfect. I’ve been caught in light drizzle and stayed surprisingly dry, but if it’s going to be a full downpour, I’d switch to something waterproof. As for style, I really like how clean and modern it looks. The reflective bits are a nice bonus for running in low light, and the color options actually look good (which isn’t always the case with running jackets). If I had to nitpick, I’d say the sizing runs a little snug especially in the arms, so maybe size up if you plan to layer. And it could use one more pocket, but honestly, I’d rather keep it minimal and light. Overall, the BONATTI CROSS WIND has become one of my go-to layers for windy runs or unpredictable days. It’s light, reliable, and feels like a natural part of my kit now. I don’t leave for a run without it.

I wasn’t sure which size to buy, so I ordered both the L & XL to try on. I’m a 40-42in chest and found the XL was far too big and the L was marginally too small. I opted to keep the XL simply because it will provide enough room to layer up during the winter months. There is a huge size disparity between L-XL that needs to be addressed. Other than the size issue, I found the jacket to be very well made and reasonably priced like-for-like with competitive brands. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this product.

I purchased this towards the end of last year. One of my favorite purchases. I had been wanting a windbreaker for my runs, and this fit the bill perfectly. Perfect for the cool, winter days, and even withstands rain very well with not being advertised as “waterproof.” Looks really great and is super light/comfortable. The zipper storage in the front is able to hold my iPhone which is a great addition to keep me hands free.

I bought him the cherry tomato which is more orange in person. It is the perfect jacket to add in a pop of color! He uses the jacket for runs. It is light weight and silky soft to the touch. He is 5'9 and 155lbs so small fit him perfect! He is an lean athletic build! I would get more in the future in the other colors. I recommend!

I bought a week ago and I found out the body length looks like Salomon have changed the size spec to around 2 - 3 inches longer than last year ?

This is a well designed jacket and fits well and has a hood that works (unlike most jackets where it is hit or miss). Extremely lightweight. Does the job.

Use for winter runs in the mid-west. Works great with a tee-shirt underneath on days 25-45 degrees. Just right amount of cold protection. Releases enough heat to prevent over-heating. Great color too.

Very lightweight and portable yet an excellent windstopper. It could use another pocket for keys and other small items.
