They Have To Figure Out The Lacing System

Great robust shoe, cups the heel well. Kinda wish the heel went a little higher for those uphill climbs where your really planting your toe causing the heel to pop down. If they could dial in the lacing so the ring doesn't eat away at the lace, that would be great too. It is a pain to replace the lacing but not the worst task. I used a sewing needle, lighter & scissors to replace the factory laces once worn out.

One Of My Favorite Shoes

This is a very well made shoe for an all-terrain traverse journey. Great traction, rugged enough for anything outside of a snowy mountain summit. My only negative of this particular line is the toe box is a little narrow.

Sturdy And Stylish

I plan on using this shoe for tons of boulder field scrambling with a day pack and at times with a full backpack. This is my third pair, the other two being the "non-Edge" models... but I love what they've done to beef up this "Edge GTX" model! They feel just as comfortable as my previous two models, more narrow than a typical hiking boot which really holds your foot well when needing traction! The tread on these shoes are amazing! They stick to rock extremely well, better than any other hiking boot I've owned, and that's a ton from all sort of brands! Your heel locks in real snug on these so they don't slip around and the rubber toe guard definitely helps when going up tallow or other sharp rocks. I recommend these approach shoes to most other guys I know.
