Purchased in Feb 2025, very comfortable straight out of the box. No break in required and never had a blister or discomfort. Size 9.5UK fits me perfectly (TTS for me). Waterproofing was excellent for the first 9 months or so, in november 2025 the waterproofing failed. Currently filing for warranty. They have some quality issues, stitching around the toe box area was loose from factory and has since completely unravelled. Laces are slightly too short for a heel lockdown lacing technique. Slight abrasion hole has appeared on the inside of one of the boots as well after not much mileage (250km total maybe?) Stitching around the upper ankle has also come undone. Never had any discomfort though and they are excellent on dry rock and most UK conditions. Slightly too cold for snow but perfectly suitable for 90% of UK weather. I am a big fan of them just a shame there is a few quality issues that let them down. Would likely buy another pair of Salewa boots, depending on their response to my warranty request.

laces always seem to fray with these boots in certain spots. otherwise pretty solid boots that I have used daily in the desert SW. Can get a little hot but offers good support and comfortable fornthe entire day. all in all a solid boot just the laces have snapped on me multiple times.

Good Light Weight Hiker
I got these to replace some asolo fugitives that got turn up in a motorcycle crash. I’ve been wearing the asolos for a long time but they lack traction in even the slightest amount of moisture. I’ve worn these now on several aoudad hunts in New Mexico, a deer hunt in Arizona, and Mexico, and several quail hunts as well. They’re great in the rocks and when climbing loose gravelly terrain, and are way more “grippy” than my asolos in the rain and at a fraction of the weight. These boots are not super durable though. The main structure of them is fine but laces barely lasted a month, the seams around the top of the tongue started to fail shortly after the laces and the edges of the soles have taken a beating. That being said I’m still wearing them almost daily and just returned from a weekend trip to the Grand Canyon in them. Wish they were tougher but have been all around happy with them

Zero Durability
Got boot in September and proceeded to hike and hunt in it. By December the boot was completely unwearable. It was not waterproof after the first week of wear and developed a squeak. Holes opened up on the sides where the boot creases when flexed. I would not recommend this boot unless you are a weekend warrior who states on trail.

Salewa Mtn Trainer Lte Gtx
Boots are lightweight, comfortable, and great out the box. The waterproofing is good, but I recommend adding another waterproofing material to it as it seems to leak after heavy rain. These are my go to boots now over choosing Salomon’s for years. I usually wear a 10 1/2 and with these I fit a size 11 perfectly.

Great Boot!
I’ve had some time to test this boot out and all I can say is wow! Boot is super comfortable, zero break in time, and tough! I’m in the military and put my boots through some hard work and long miles, these have had no issues keeping up and not degrading! Highly recommend!

Great Boot
The boot was very comfortable right out of the box. This is my second pair of Salewa products. I will definitely purchase more in the future.

No Break In Needed
These are the truth. I am a 11.5 in all brands and this holds true here. Day one in these I put 10 miles in through Joshua Tree National Park with no issues to include no blisters. They are lightweight and pretty flexible, almost fits like an approach shoe.

Perfect Lightweight Boot!
Exactly the right boot for Rocky, desert hunting. Chased mule deer all over the New Mexico desert. Lost track of the miles covered. Steep and very rocky. These boots were amazing.
