Ultralight Delight!
I bought the Rab Women's Alpha Flash to add some extra warmth to my ultralight backpacking gear without adding extra weight. Deceptively Warm
This is a great piece by Mountain Hardwear. I have their Monkeywoman fleece which is incredibly warm, sometimes too warm and was looking for something less bulky and for slightly warmer temps. This fleece fit the bill. When I opened the package, I was put off by how ridiculously thin it feels, but decided to give it a shot. Thats where it surprised me. While thin and very flattering fit, this fleece kept me quite toasty on chilly spring mornings in NY. It doesn't have much for windproofness, but is great for cooler temps and moving around. The panels along the sides of the torso and inner part of the arms is super soft and stretchy, which means flexibility and not restrained movements. I wish it have side hand pockets, but with keeping it so light and minimalist, I suppose its a nice change of pace from every other fleece. I bought the grey color, and it is great! I am 5'1 and around 114 lbs, athletic climber build and I got the XS which fits perfectly. I like the slightly longer sleeves!
