Upon unboxing of the Rab pants i didn't have high expectations factoring in the price and they looked so unremarkable especially compared to the robust vidda or kebs pants. After i put the Rab Kinetic pants on, i instantly felt one of the most comfortable pants i've ever worn. I believe that is what Rab is all about. The thinness (lightness) and durability scares me, but that is yet to be tested over time.

Light Weight With Good Mobility
I've been using these for going up mountains in the snow in the PNW like St Helens and Hood. The main drawback is having to take my boots off if I want to take the pants off but it hasn't really been an issue because the only time I've wanted to take them off is when I wore 2 layers under the pants and wanted to remove one because I was too hot. And because it wasn't cold out, there wasn't an issue with taking off my boots. I also snagged crampons on them a few times and they seemed pretty resilient. So the main pros of being light weight and comfortable make up for any of the cons in my opinion.
