Terrible Leaky On First Wear

first time wearing in light rain water seeped thru fabric at areas where fabric contacts skin (e.g. knees/thighs and seat when sitting on anything wet). dwr works very well and the outter fabric did not show saturation which makes the seep thru puzzling. this was not moisture from sweat either. you can clearly see rain drop spots seeped thru on the pant legs. the pants are well made and fit me well, but they simply are not waterproof.

Very Lightweight, Well-made, And They Work

I wore these right away in the North Cascades when we were tromping around in tall grasses and low shrubs after a thunderstorm. No problem. Note that there is no pocket and the sizing may run a bit small. Recommended.

Hyper Light & Functional

Height: 5’10 Weight: 165lb Size: M I bought these as my hardshell layer for mountaineering and hiking for when the weather is at its worst. I wear these on top of a base layer + softshell pants with mountaineering boots. First, the length and waist got perfect. The zipper runs from the foot to the knee. Technically I could fully unzip it and slide it on while wearing Scarpa phantom 6000s but it’s pretty tight. I would most likely take the boots off and on while putting them on and that’s the only drawback. However, for the price and limited use, I can justify that aspect of it. Pros: highly packable, ultra light weight, good value, quality material. Cons: zips up to the knee difficult to put on while wearing mountaineering boots I would recommend and buy again.
