This is my second pair of Zion pants. I have models 1 and now 2. They removed the metal button, and plastic one is more comfortable (especially when wearing a harness), but more difficult to button and unbotton. The stretch is great, and the material does the job without any irritation whatsoever. My complaint on these pants has always been the belt. Because it's made of that slick material, it slides through the clip and therefore loosens. Either they need to make the belt out of a higher friction material and/or they need to change the clip such that it doesn't let the belt loosen. In my Zion 1 pants, I had to tie an overhand knot in the belt to keep it from sliding through the clip. I'll have to do the same with these. This issue is a thing more for climbers than hikers due to the forces of one's harness on the waist.
