I Wanted To Love These Shorts But, The Pulls In The Fabric Are A Killer For Me
I have multiple Prana shorts and have always found them to be the highest of quality. However, I did find that after the first time wearing the Stretch Zion Short II that there were small pulls in the fabric on the thighs. I'm not destructive with my shorts so this came as quite a surprise. The fabric is soft and flexible, making them extremely comfortable to wear. The fit is excellent and the button design, although not metal, is solid and strikes me that it would last much longer than any sewed-in button.

Great Fitting Shorts! But Not-so-great Material Due To Pilling.
I bought several pairs of these shorts, in both the 10 inch and 12 inch version, because I once had a couple of pairs of the older generation back when their material was heavy cotton and I really appreciated their fit and durability. The fit of this new generation of shorts is just as good, I have to say! And these shorts were well on their way to becoming my favorite ever. But what really disappointed me is the material which, after about 2 months of use, has exhibited a lot of pilling in the crotch area. Pictures included.

High Performance, Feature Packed Shorts
The shorts provide the same fit as the pants of the same style. Love them both - the pants and shorts. I prefer the 8" length short. That length seems to be more "in style" at the moment. The pockets work perfectly for me. I particularly like (what I call) the car key FOB zipper pocket situated within the right pocket. The front, left main pocket is typical and holds a decent sized phone. There is an additional lower left pocket with 2 zipper openings - top and side. The left, rear pocket has a flap which helps to keep items in place. The right, rear pocket is basic. The material is light-weight and drys quickly. My favorite feature is the built-in, "airport scanner friendly", cinch belt.
