Gets The Job Done...i Think
You can't really know if these products work until you find yourself sick from the river water. Didn't get sick! I had these tablets on hand as a back-up just in case my other filter stopped working. Ended up using these because I got impatient waiting for my other filter. Was pleasantly surprised by how not awful it tasted (to me anyways). Just tastes like water with a little bit of salt in it. Dropped them into my nalgene shook it up, waited 30 minutes an voila! I'll continue using this as my backup however.

You Better Listen
I have not used this product. However, I can tell you that you have not lived until you have had "Beaver Fever." You think you are dying. Then you really could. You can get it from the most crystal clear water. I gave it five stars for being a convenient way to prevent "Beaver Fever." Anybody who hunts, fishes, camps, hikes or spends time outdoors in any form should have a product like this.

Great Addition To A Bug-out-bag
I have not used them. We bough them to be an addition to bug-out-bags we gave as Christmas gifts to our kids and their spouses. They came well packaged and sealed.

I Always Use Water Purification Tablets
You gotta have em. These are cheap when you compare them to the pain you'll feel if you get Giardia. Anywhere you go, animals are using that place as a latrine, and they carry a tiny parasite that winds up in the water. A stream may be clear and cold and in the middle of nowhere, but if you gamble that there are no microscopic Giardia eggs, you're eventually going to lose. Then you've got some serious trots, my friend. Spend the 7 bucks on these water purification tablets. Or you can spend lots more on a water purification system, and I'm sure those are awesome, but I'm used to these pills. I've been using them for decades and I don't think I've ever had Giardia, (but I have had the trots, which I blame on cheap beer.)As I hike and take drinks from my water bottle, I always leave about a 1/4 cup of water in the bottle and drop in one of these tablets. It takes about 5 minutes to dissolve. This saves me time when I find more water. I can fill the bottle and the water is ready to drink 5 minutes faster because the tablet is pre-dissolved. If you've ever been out of water and really, REALLY thirsty, those 5 minutes are agony. So listen to the Old Man.When the water is muddy, (yes, I've raided mud puddles in desperation), add more tablets. There are instructions on the bottle, and an annoying little wad of yellowish brown cotton inside the bottle to keep the pills from rattling around and breaking. I use that as tinder.

Great For Camping Or In Emergencies.
Two tablets treat a quart, so one tablet per 16 oz. water bottle. Easy to follow directions. Peace of mind in situations where the water is questionable.

Always Good To Have Around!
This product is very easy to use, and work great. The small size of the bottle makes easy to add to any emergency kit etc. These days you never know what can happen. You can survive without a lot of "things". You cannot survive without water! When you don't have any, you need it fast. Why chance it? Better safe, than sorry!

Good Product
When I went on a three day hiking trip I brought these tablets along with me. They were very portable, lightweight, and fairly easy to use. The downside to most of these tablets is the time it takes for them to work (30 min with these) to remove the sediment and other impurities. My suggestion would be to bring either a second water bladder or a bottle and a bladder to sip on the bottle while your water is purifying. There were plenty of tablets for the trip. The only other thing was the taste. It tasted a bit funny when purified. An easy solution would be flavor packets. Either way, a good product.
