Great Value For The Money - Proven Brand

I really enjoyed the Pflueger presidential reel for almost any type of fishing in the past. I actually went into Dick’s today planning on buying just the reel and buying a new rod to pair it with. Well, the reel alone was $59.99. Then, I saw the combo on the rack on sale for just $79.99, marked down from $120. Basically getting the rod for just $20..and a Pflueger is better than almost any other rod you’ll find for $20. Great combo, super smooth and definitely something I would consider beginner-immediate angler friendly. Will last way longer and be way smoother/better for casting than any other combo for the price point.

Became Useless In Less Than 6 Months

The guides on the rod have line wear notches worn into them from only catching bluegill.I have owned this rod less since six months.The handle is also fallen apart.This rod is junk.

Wife got the combo for me as a Christmas gift, very sensitive rod. Reel is top notch, very smooth and responsive no slack in the gearing at all. Drag functions very well have fought multiple species of fish from blue cats to bluegill.

Non Reversible Handle

can't switch handle for rt handed person because inside shaft will not allow. it's a manufacturers defect. The whole line built defective
