A Great Product

The best travel backpack I've ever used, very practical, great materials and lots of pockets to store everything.

Perfect Carry-on

I’m obsessed with this backpack. I have been looking for a travel backpack to use as a carry on that could potentially fit under an airline seat. I recently flew on a Boeing 737-max (3 by 3 seats in economy) and it would work if you don’t fully expand it (use 30L/35L configuration) and sit in the window or middle seat. I was able to pack everything I needed for an 8 day trip because of the design. Highly recommend it!

Best Bag Ever

I’ve been using the Peak Design Travel Backpack for about 3 months now, and it’s easily the best bag I’ve owned. The build quality is insane—the material feels indestructible and the zippers never catch. What I love most is the access; being able to open it from the back, sides, or top makes packing and finding stuff so much easier. It holds a ton when expanded but handles the weight really well on your shoulders. Yes, it’s expensive, but you can feel where the money went. Zero regrets.

Great Bag That I Never Use

This is a great bag in terms of functionality and features. However, the comfort is a major flaw; after about 20 minutes of wear, it becomes painful enough that it is effectively unwearable for me.

4x5 Loadout

Just received my 20L backpack. You guys finally made the perfect travel bag for my 4x5 set-up. Perfect fit for 4x5 Chamonix 45N-2, 3 lenses Nikkor 210mm, Nikkor 150mm and Nikkor 75mm. Room to spare for accessories bag. Bag holds Chamonix loupe, level, light meter, spot meter B&W filters. Space for dark cloth all carried in Peak Design Medium Camera Cube. 2 Film Holders in computer compartment. Thank You, Howard

Nearly Perfect

Bought this about 7 months ago. Have done 15 days in Japan, a week in Mexico, and several other shorter trips with it since. Fantastic bag. Holds a ton but can shrink down if you need it to. Some people seem to misunderstand the snaps, they’re not really for compression, rather just to make the bag smaller if it’s not full. Used it for both camera gear and regular packing and it’s great for both. Would give it 4.5 stars if I could. Only thing holding it back is it definitely needs load lifters! Also maybe a second access to the front pocket so stuff in the bottom is more easily accessible.

Great Travel Backpack.

I purchased the 45l for a 2week trip to Japan with my family. This pack worked perfect as a carry on with 1 set of clothes for me and my 2 kids and some camera gear in the XS camera cube and my laptop. Looks great, the straps could be a little more padded but is doable. Definitely recommend this pack.

Loved It So Much, We Got A 2nd!

Love the travel backpack. Been using it since it first came out years ago and recently just bought a second. It perfectly fits one medium and one small packing cube. Fits my needs whenever I need to go somewhere for a weekend and don't want to drag a suitcase around. Perfect for weekend trips into Manhattan where there's typically lots of steps when navigating mass transit. First one has held up really well - basically looks new. Got the second one for my wife.

Great Versatile Travel Bag

Pretty happy overall with this bag. I purchased it for a travel carry-on for an upcoming trip, but have also been using it for a daily bag for work even though it is a little large for an everyday bag. The collapsible top has helped with keeping the bulk down a bit. Pros: Premium materials, plenty of access, versatility. Many reviews say the straps are not comfortable, but my experience has been great with them. Cons: The top handle is difficult to grab as it is a bit too snug to the top of the bag. Occasionally the zipper for the large compartment feels like it gets stuck on one of the corners. Nothing jammed, just difficult to zip around the corner.

Great Backpack - Horrible Returns Process!

The backpack was great - good quality and excellent design. The larger Travel Backpack was too large for me so I returned 2 of them (one black and one ocean). The return process was a nightmare however. I had to chase the returns department multiple times and provide proof of posting and delivery to them several times before the return was issued weeks later.

Access, Access, Access

This bag, a few packing cubes, and well though out clothes and there's no limit to how long you can travel. It is very sturdy, with tons of features and access.

Great Features, Super Versatile

I bought this to carry a mix of photographic and travel gear whilst moving between various forms of transport. I have carried it around for short periods with it loaded up to around 11·5 kg and it is fine. Routinely I have comfortably carried it for a couple of hours loaded to around 7-8 kg. The hip belt and the chest strap help a lot with comfort What I like best: —The easy access; —The side access that can avoid opening up the whole case just to reach a camera; —The stowable straps that are great when moving between modes of transport; —The many compartments; —The multiple handles. —The security tabs on the zips; —The compression poppers that make the bag look so much sleeker. What I think might be improved: —The side-opening zips are single ended. Double ended would be nice; —When lifting a well stuffed bag using the side handles, the compression poppers invariably come undone. Overall, I have found this to be a very versatile, convenient and durable bag that works even better with the camera cubes and I am very happy with my choice.

Yay

Great! Very useful for travel. I like that it expands out

600 Flights And Counting

The 45L is best travel backpack out there. It is durable and still perfect condition after over 600 flights. It easily packs 5 days for my business trips, and laptop, tablet, 18” travel monitor, mini pc and keyboard and two PD tech pods. I even pack two suits on occasions. It fits in the overhead bins even in the smaller planes like the CRJ900.

Love The Bag

Bought this a little over a month ago and was suprised at how much I am able to fit into it. Pockets both internal and external are great for all the various chargers and gadgets I have on trips.
