This hat does a good job of keeping the rain off your head and neck, and it packs down well without ending up looking all squished when you pull it out to uses it again.
It also seems to dry rather quickly, so that's a nice feature.
The extended neck cover is nice, but beware that your back will now get wet instead of your neck as the water runs off the hat. As long as you have a good waterproof coat on, it's no problem, but if you're thinking about using this with anything else, prepare to get a bit soggy as the hat directs a lot water down off that large back brim.
