The Outdoor Research Cirque Pants are fantastic for hiking. They’re very durable and handle rough trails well. They do pill a little over time, but it doesn’t affect performance. Horrible durability. I bought these and climbed in them for ONE weekend and they piled so horribly that they now look trashed. Too bad OR didn’t do their material homework on these, otherwise they’d be good.

These are great for active travel. I used one pair for a three week trip through Spain and they were perfect.

Quality Construction, But Cut Has Changed Over Time

OR pants seem to be getting cut to be very slim fitting through the leg and seat compared to previous years. I love their older versions but these fit like hipster jeans.
