Normally merino doesn't bother me, but this was very itchy the instant I tried it on.

Great colors. Super comfortable. Not itchy at all. Generous fit if you size up, looks great as a t shirt. So can function either as a base layer or as a good looking t shirt. Excellent!

I love this shirt. I will admit it is my first wool shirt in a long time. I have always worried they would be scratchy but it was a great fit and can be layered easily. I really enjoy OR products, top notch quality.

The material is breathable and good for hot days and cold, doesn't smell horrible after long days and holds sweat very well, fits perfectly underneath other layers.

These shirts have more poly than many of the wool hybrid shirts which makes them quite tough compared to your more typical 85/15 blend (i.e. they are much less likely to get torn up by your backpack straps). I did notice slight pilling on repeated washing.

High quality shirt. Use under work vest l. Breathable and durable.

Ran a little big but that's not a problem. Some hot water and some time in the dryer can't handle. Shrunk to be the perfect size

Runs large. But that was fixed with some hot water and some time in the dryer. Shrunk to the perfect size

Not as soft as smartwool products, but I think this may be more durable

It's primarily a work shirt I wear under body armor/plate carrer, depending on my tasks for work. It's antimicrobial factor allows me to wear it all day long. Fast drying from long days in the sun and looks/fits great casually with jeans.

Overall, the sizing for this shirt is a good fit. However, the shoulders for this were tighter/smaller than on other OR products i have purchased. The wool is not quite as smooth and has a slightly course feel compared to their other wool blend products.

great merino base layer for spring and fall. I'm loving it this spring and look forward to using it more in the fall

Essential gear. I love in OR. Thanks!

I bought two of these and they're great shirts. I'm a big fan of merino wool for base layers, and these Alpine Onset pieces offer the benefits of merino in solid, long-wearing pieces. I wear these at work under flight suits, and everywhere else as much as possible. Really good gear.

Fits true to size, very quality construction. Feels great and works well as base layer.
