The hat is fine I went off the sizing guide and it’s huge on my head. Go for medium if you think large will Fit

I have more than one of these now- two for work & one for play. Fits fantastic, easy adjustment tab in the back. You can "boonie" it and scrunch the brim to get that sun that's angled to the side or shove it in your pack/pocket. Take it out and a hard shake will get the brim back. I run this through rocks, brush, sappy pines. No issues or snags. Breathes well and has some water resistance. One of the best things OR has made.

A friend gave me this hat about 10 years ago. I had no idea it stood for Outdoor Research until today and decided to look it up. I wear this hat on every hike and fishing trip. ITS GREAT !

It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you don't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i'd actually write a review.
